In need of some help

I have recently lost my sight and in lew of these circumstances, need someone to help me around. I will pay them in ingots, though I am only a child so I have little. If you agree to help, I will be sitting near the shop or sleeping, thank you

While passing the library, Brendan scratches his chin. For a few moments he ponders to himself-if this person is indeed blind, then how did they write the notice? Brendan grins to himself and writes a short message afterwards, in an attempt to trick the "blind" person.

The noonday sun shines down on a blind halfling who stumbles past a notice in front of the library. In one hand he steadies himself with a fishing rod, and in the other, he pokes a blunt-ended staff in front of him. After a good handful of hours, a smile finally spreads across his face as his ears pick up the familiar sound of running water.

"Oh, an' I told ya's, Benji I did... we're not lost a'all, yer silly oaf! 'Least the fishin' rod still be here...."

He smiles and runs into the south wall. Rubbing his nose, he finally has the good fortune to notice eventually that he's never been to this river before.

"Why Benji, m'lad, I daresay we be lost."

He chuckles. By the time the torches of evening are lit, Benji has finally smiled with satisfaction at locating his spot by the river.
