An alle neuen Spieler / To all new players

I want to apologize myself as an older player for all this dettering and in my eyes dirty discussions on this board. I ask for apology. Please don't let you mislead by all this discussions that the game and the ingame atmosphere is all bad and terrible.
Please don't think that this ooc-arguements of some players and gm's are ingame too. Or will disturb your roleplay ingame, or your fun. Or will have any influence on your free and good roleplay. Believe me when I tell you that this game is alot of fun, and a place of great roleplay. even if you think, after all this terrible discussions, this is not true.
Don't get deterre. Play and enjoy the game. And build up your own opinion. and let me give you an advice. Don't try to reach something huge too much, don't put all your energie and concentration on one, big goal. Don't be disappointed and annoyed and angry ooc if you don't reach a goal. Don't let something like this destroy your fun. It is a game. Roleplay backstrokes. Don't get angry about them. They are part of it. And don't let ooc matters destroy your fun at the game, because no ooc trouble with other players or anything else is it worth to let it destroy your fun with the game. Simply ignore it, and enjoy the game.
You can have fun without being the most famous warrior, mage or anything else. To be popular, and important don't means to have fun with the game. Thats not the goal. Everything can make fun. And don't be dissapointed when your character isn't famous after some time. As long as you have fun. not the famous and strong characters are the fun of this game. But the normal ones, the backbone of the roleplay. The characters which gives the game with their simply nature color and deepness.
Stay away of the scenery behind the game. Don't get too much involved with that. Because it seems everyone who makes a step too far into that scenery ends in a swamp. A swamp which destroys his fun at the game, which takes him all fun, interests and motivation. That isn't it worth. It is still a game, and even when there is somethign what you dislike, what ever. Its a game, have fun, and don't bother about that.
This way you will have a good time with this game. And you won't have too much trouble and annoying moments. Other players lost the interest and their fun, because they involved themself too much with the scenery behind the game. they made too much thoughts about everything, and got very fast dissapointed, and annoyed of some things. And lost their troo goal in this game. To play a role and have fun.
Thank you, and again, apologize for the discussions of the last days. Please, don't let them discourage you.
I wish you a very good time ingame.

I'd like to excuse myself for Galim and the rest.
They are all ignorant slackers who fear of standing up and saying what they think. If they have a problem—they shut up.
That's not the wrong way to do things. But it sure as hell is not right either.
This game is in Alpha Phase, and it needs everybody's help.
Help in this sense includes expressing criticism, and speaking your mind honestly, not just playing it like mindless zombies.
I warmly welcome all the new players and encourage you to be pro-active outside from the game. As much fun as illarion is, there are alot of things that need improvement. If you just say everything is fine and sweet, and put down people who complain as if they were brainless morons (like the other, older players are doing in this thread, and which I am ashamed of them for their cowardice), you are mobbing the honest people.
Think about that.
So, enjoy the game, but don't keep your eyes and mouth shut.

I never meant that you shouldn'T help to work at the game. I fear I wrote it a little bit unlucky. Of course you can help with proposals, ideas and so on. When i spoke of "behind the scenery" i didn't mean that part of the ooc. i meant the angry discussions, the arguements and the troublethreads. and the bad sides of the ooc.
please, i never wanted to say that you shouldn'T try to help this game to become something great. Of course you should. But better stay away from the arguements
.
p.s. @Moirear
Of course I stand up and say something when there is a reason for it, but for me there is no reason at the moment. Many times in the past I wrote to the GM's and others when there was something which disturbs me and which I dislike. I think by the gm's i am wellknown as a really annoying guy
. for them i am a pain in the neck ^^.
what do you think how i gathered beaneath 1300 posts in this forum? not with spam (not like some others *coughs*)
But the most time over I try to avoid such threads in the puplic, because in the most situations they start to become a place of arguements, insults and so on. And I want to avoid that.
But to make a statement.
I have no problem with the skillgain, with the hardness of work, with the townwall, with missing functions in the game which can't be placed ingame yet and so on. And yes, i play new characters too. I know that it isn't easy. And I started with Galim already at a time when it was hard. I am for realism ingame, thats okay for me. for me it is no destroying of the gamefun when i can't make 40 platemails a day but just one. why should it destroy my gamefun? If something is so easy to make that everyone can make 20 of it in a day its not as much fun as when it is so hard to make that I just get one a day
. Think about that.
Yes, there are thinks behind the scenes who disturb me, but i won't let that infect my fun with the game. Damn, when some peoples think they have to act ooc behind the scenes to get what they want and if they think they need this superpower and this gm-help okay, if they want it this way. whatever. I have more fun with my character with which one i worked hard and honestly to get what he has instead with a character who get everything from GM's.
There is a reason for example why i am not for a skillwipe. since two years i am playing now Galim. I worked hard and honestly. I done my roleplay with fun. And i worked the whole 2 years to reach a state of Galim like it is now. Damn, I worked half a year until i was ready to smith a platemail. I played another half a year until he was able to kill skeletons alone. I played 2 years until i reached grandmaster in gemcutting. And I was and i am damn proud of it, because i didn't powergamed it. I raised that skill in 2 years of work. And I would be really pissed of when this 2 years of hard and honest work would be destroyed from one wipe. I hope some of you understand me.
I am noone who is able to work for 6 yours to gather items and skills. I am not even able to mine for half an hour without getting really annoyed and pissed of by it. A wipe would mean the worst for me. Because the last two years of honest and hard work would be nothing worse. And I have not the wish and power to work another 2 years for my beloved Galim.
but enough of this. whyt I want to say is, I don't start to complain and argue in public about some of the topics you and others mentioned. simply because they aren't it worth to get angry or annoyed about it. Why destroying my own gamefun because of something like that. Damn, than let him got some gm-item for his roleplay. when he does shit with it the gm's will kick his ass. What ever.
Of course in the past i thought different too. but after I noticed that this just destroyed my fun at the game, i started to think different. I was more in the forum than in the game. Damn, now i really wish i could go ingame. I am really missing that ^^.
please, don't say again that i am frightened of saying what disturbs me. when something really disturbs me, i will stand up. But I don't let everything disturb me, simply because it isn't it worth.

Maybe we can get back to a more relevant discussion then.
