Vielen Dank / Many thanks

Many thanks to all that discussed on the german discussion.
Finally i can say, that the GMs and this Forum are the best things to show people how this game really is.
I wish every player best luck who escapes this hell.
Name me what you want, Moirear is the only one who says something against the GMs. He is flamed, instead of that someone said "thanks". He insults the people who flame him, but who would not? It's what people do when they see themself in danger.
This discussion showed who are the true "assholes" of Illarion are and it also showed that no one should play this game, called Illarion. I will never tell anyone to check it out again. May Illarion breat because of the ignorance and the high throne of the Gms.
I'm done.

Yakin, you and other GM's are greatly appreciated in other people's eyes(If I may say so, the majority eyes from what I heared). Don't let yourself get down because of these postings, because they are only with few. Your "investments" in this game have made it great fun, and still make it great fun. All these accusations that UO is better are a lie. Illarion is different, and ofcourse not funded. It is actually in my eyes a miracle that you actually held on to bring it to this state today. And I certainly hope that you could even do more in the future, without giving up your RL things.
So, read the messages of these people, maybe try to understand, but do not give up, and understand that there are many players that certainly DO appreciate you and your work.

Also, before another person accuses me of this, I'd like to know where exactly *I* have been "advertising" for UO other than with people I've so far considered "net-buddies". Most of those I asked, just don't feel like playing it. And yes, UO and illarion are two different cups of tea. I happen to enjoy both.
On a final note, I simply do not understand why so many GMs and staff members are taking this personally. If it's really just all poppycock I'm writing, why does it bug all of you so? I'm not even pointing the finger at anybody in specific, I'm just saying over and over again that some things could be better, and I don't expect them to get better overnight.
But I do expect everybody to deal with critique like grown-ups. While I have brought alot of "destructive" criticism, I have also brought alot of positive input, and suggestions in the area of roleplaying. I just don't get it why some GMs are trying to bloat things up like I'm some sort of monster who doesn't respect them. In the contrary, if I didn't respect you, I'd just shut up.

How that was related to anything, Hermie, I doubt I'll ever know. In fact, the vast majority of your posts I've seen lately are just randomly targeted spite.
All this talk about the SVST and I wonder where you're getting your information. I remember that time that we decided we didn't like you and had you banned, Hermie, except that it didn't happen. In fact, you've never been brought up, nor has all but a small handful of people. Even if we all shouted, "please ban person A," it would be meaningless, because we don't ban people. Any time such talk as what punishment is deserved for some rulebreak (in general, and not for a specific person) Martin and the GMs would steer the conversation to a loophole in the rules in question and if we feel that using that loophole is good or bad rp.
And you'd be damn suprised to know that only one person did the vast majority of the posting that involved reporting someone. You'd be even more suprised to know who it was.
And, yes, I replied to them, and I generally agreed with his/her logic. I didn't necessarily agree with his/her posting it there, but the fact remains that it is one way among others to speak to GMs.
Oh. Yes. Our proximity to GM's via the SVST board. Some have been complaining that the SVST gets special benefits as a result of their proximity to GM's. It's true. Last night I played my new character, Voltron, and shot lasers at the town wall, except that that didn't happen either!
Do me a big favor. Give me one example of a player that is currently in the SVST (if you even have an example of that outside myself and Moirear) of an SVST member who has special GM-granted abilities *because* they're in the SVST or an example of a current SVST member who has gotten someone banned because they don't like them. I'll give you my car for that one.
In my experience, the players that are in the other private forum, the one related to quests, are the only ones likely to be given special abilities because it helps with their quest writing. No one has complained about them, however.
PO Konstantin listed as one of his complaints on his goodbye thread that he was angry that the GMs wouldn't give, in his words, "superpowers" to players that aren't the GM's favorites. Are you an angry that the GMs *would* give out "superpowers" to players who are actively building storylines and quests and wouldn't give them out to someone who just simply says that he needs them to play a priest of Ronagon? One is giving up their own freedom in playing out quests for the community with no pay. Even then, as Konstantin even mentioned, the gifts they are given are not to be used randomly. It takes communication with the GMs. The other only wants that power for his own character so that he may use it all the time. Which one deserves it?
Please, speak about what you know. From my experience, the SVST is more of a hassle than any sort of benefit. In fact, it is no benefit at all. I took on the responsibility because I enjoy the game and I enjoy the company of the community. I feel that I'm working for you, and not the GM's and I'm sure most of the other SVST agree.
If you wish to complain and slander me, start paying me and I'll make sure to work harder. I expect American minimum wage ($5.15 an hour currently) at the very least. PM me and I'll give you the contact information, Hermie. I will expect all payments in cash (United States greenbacks only) or cashier's check.

The following actions were done / allowed by the GMs for SBS-quests:In my experience, the players that are in the other private forum, the one related to quests, are the only ones likely to be given special abilities because it helps with their quest writing. No one has complained about them, however.
-one time, broadcasting a message
-one time, spawning monsters upon triggered action
-one time, giving items (quest reward) to a questchar without a RP-reason
What has never happened: Skillraising, attribute raising, additional items, GM-items / powers, GM secrets...
