Linux SUSE or something like that. I said "new one" because I didn't want to specify a version incase it was wrong and someone could bring it up in an argument against me at a later date
Linux isn't really an operating system for the casual user. It is more a moldable desktop where the user has complete control over every aspect of the computer. The technology excelling and upgrading everyday, linux is the perfect operating system for the user who knows what they're doing. To put it simply, I have XP.
If you want to get a glance how Linux looks and feels like, try Knoppix. It's a Debian based Linux running on a live CD. Just download it, burn it on a CD and boot from it. I comes with most things you need.
What is KNOPPIX®?
KNOPPIX is a bootable CD with a collection of GNU/Linux software, automatic hardware detection, and support for many graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI and USB devices and other peripherals. KNOPPIX can be used as a Linux demo, educational CD, rescue system, or adapted and used as a platform for commercial software product demos. It is not necessary to install anything on a hard disk. Due to on-the-fly decompression, the CD can have up to 2 GB of executable software installed on it.
