Cannot connect - - is the server down?

I am not able to log in with my character today, and I am not able to create a new one either. The server status on the Illarion webpage says it is online, but if it is, why am I not able to connect? I even tried to reinstall the program...and that didn't help either. Is the server down?

sorry, since about 8 last night, the server hanged again i think

you have to wait until the server gets back on.
there is no way you can connect until then.
