Problems with items.

I had a Fire Sword (which I bought from Alora Ironforge, in the case you want yo ask) and a Long Sword equiped when I played last week.
When I connected today, the swords were gone. The square to equip weapons were empty, but all the other items remained. That's weird.
Can you help me? Because I even had to buy another Fire Sword from a hobbit (I forgot his name).

Every time my character dies, and loses a ring, whenever someone hands him back the lost ring, they vanish on the ground just before I can let him pick them up. I blinked it away the first time, was annoyed on the second, and by the third time I felt cheated, as the character this has been happening to is far from being rich—and this has eaten up all his resources.

I'm not at all looking for replacements, just wondering if this is some kind of general bug that's been happening elsewhere, and if it could be fixed.

All items have a certain time fixed to them. If they remain on the ground for a certain amount of time, then they'll simply get gobbled up by the server.

As far as I know, and have experienced, items when put into a timber depot (the ones players can make) can disappear from time to time. I once had several crafted items in one such box, only for them to have disappeared inside the box the very next day.

I know this isn't a real help now, but in the future be careful with little things like this.

Never had my items disapear yet in wooden boxes.

Good point Brendan, but these items were on the ground for a max. time of seconds, merely; and I know the other chars picked them up quickly, as well. I know there are cases when the server sorta "switches" and then everything gets "gobbled up", but this didn't seem to be the case; everything else on the ground did not vanish.

Yes, I understand.
But the fact is that my items were no on the ground or inside any box. They were equiped, my weapons.

No problem. It did fit.
And sorry, it's because I'm not so happy by losing my fire sword... you know, it's not every day you get to have one.
