Bloodhearte-
I wish I could say something meaningful here. It was way back when that my characters and your characters intermingled. Bloodhearte thought that he was so bad ass which only got him and Malinne on bad terms which ultimately made them get along. You are an awesome role player. I just started playing again hoping that maybe there would be an improvement from the last times that I played. Not really, unfortunately. Yeah, the graphics are different, which is nice (even though I do miss the old graphics). Most of the people I would role play with are not around anymore and haven't been for a long time. So now my characters don't have very many friends and even less enemies (enemies are more important when it comes to role playing because then stuff is constantly happening
). So yeah, it's still boring as it was the last time I quit playing. I'm deciding to stick around longer though and develope new friends and enemies for my characters. I thought you had already quit the game since I hadn't seen you on since I've started playing again, and seeing you actually leave is a little discouraging. You need to not leave and come up with some evil plot instead.
But anyways... Goodbye, wish you would keep playing, don't forget to write, come back soon and all that good stuff.

Days without any reply. And I know from others they NEVER received any reply. I even wrote to the GM-Abuse address in German, thinking it would speed things up. And besides all that, it doesn't make a difference anyway. One is better off by A) having played this game for years, and/or B) kissing the butts of staff members or GMs to be heard or taken seriously.
Suggestions? For starters, I'd say you should let a group of players form together, who then collectively maintain the "GM Abuse" responsibilities.

Well, it does seem as though the GM's are short handed, are they not? I dont think they can really afford to lose more people...
Although i must agree, when it comes to the GM's showing favor on other people it does tend to get to me a little bit... How other people might get to try out something...
But I understand this is a free game and its in its testing stages...
I dont know of any GM's that abuse their priveledges right now...

Ohh sure push everything on the GM's.
Why the GM's are in the game anyway ..i really start asking myself if I would work for such players..always complain ,asking the same questions over one million times, posting stupid proposals and then I should jump only because you call..and everything without payment?..Sure I would quiet this job as soon as possible.
Maybe you should next time use the !gm when you really need it like you are stuck in some cave or so ,not when people kill you and you whine around just because you lost something.
Much better thing is..log in irc go into the channel "#illarion" the most time there is a GM (usually martin) and then you can ask him and then there is no need for such things.

I'm gone.
A little harsh there Sian...maybe just take some time off and remember its only a game. No need to attack people behind there characters. One mans idea of good Rp is not the same as anothers.
Get some rest. Buy an Xbox. Chase girls. Anything to relax. Then you will return.
All the best.

I'm being forced to stay and play by this wonderful community,
so no girls, no Xbox.
Grrr...
Why won't you people just leave me alone?
Edit:
The central thing to RP is... credibility.
So I'm being harsh. Flame me.
I still think Damien's a jerk, ban me if you don't like me saying my honest opinion. It's also mainly rather OOC-based, than something I judge from his RP.
However, I think his sense of RP still smells like rotten fish.
Flame me.

Aaaaaw.
He used my "flame me".
Welcome, welcome my friend Sian.
Welcome to the opposition side.
//edit:
GMs, and Staff, and all the rest, since I already know that SVST exists, and I know that my behavior is being discussed there, could you let me view it? It's not like I am a spammer or a flamer?
Plus, I could contribute to those controversial discussions, rather than having people bash me behind my back without having a chance to defend or explain myself.
I also know that certain players discourage other players to RP with me, so don't worry about that either.
Thank you.

It's mainly about controversial topics, discussion about RP and sometimes about development.Konstantin K wrote:What's so special about it anyway?
Sometimes we discuss about certain players.
Let's say it is some kind of filtered and condensed summary of all the boards we have in order to keep track of certain things and to avoid loosing overview.
It also has the purpose to keep us developers and GMs in touch with the players to stay up to date in certain in game matters.
We have a broad spectrum of opinions and views there, so I guess bashing could happen but would lead to no result.

In short words, it's a place where players can report other players without being revealed? Like, players who spy on others RP?
The only problem with it is that this approach creates a circle of players who possess more information than other players.
Ok, anyway, I'm done about this. I rest my case. Was worth a try though.
I knew that I'll never be permitted. They're scared of me

Well, in my knowledge you only let CERTAIN players in. So, wouldn't you have to let all of us in? I really don't like how only FEW players get it, even if choosen it shows a "more friendly" attitude to some then others.Nothing personal, but if we give you the right we'd have to give it to everyone.
It's not the fact that you can report bad rp...that is like saying "It's unfair to have people spy on my bad rp, that's not fair". (Not targetted DIRECTLY at K, he just brought it up). It's more that, the players have a closer connection to GM's and I think you can see that IG, as far as treatement goes.

K, players can report other players under a cloak of anonymity via the various abuse e-mails. What makes that board any different?
Edit:
That's OOC knowledge, right? If so, then it shouldn't affect people's roleplay, if they can effectively separate OOC from IC action.K wrote:The only problem with it is that this approach creates a circle of players who possess more information than other players.

Care to cite any cases?Cliu wrote:you can see that IG, as far as treatement goes.

No.Konstantin K wrote:In short words, it's a place where players can report other players without being revealed?
The first one to do that is the first one to get his ass kicked from there. It will be a great pleasure for me to do that personally and by hand.Like, players who spy on others RP?

They do not get any special information. The only problem with it is that this approach creates a circle of players who possess more information than other players.
It works more like:
"What do you think about that? How should we handle it?" (things like: hiding in shadows, how to act when being dead or shortly after being revived, ...)
This is NOT any spy-division that reports. You can easily find that out by simply comparing its existance (since about 6 month) and people being bannished. Is there anyone who thinks that he was bannished because of any svst-action? Of course not. (I think not a single case lead to that..., there were not too many, as you will surely know if I tell you that we not even filled a single forum page in these 6 month).
If there is doubtful RP, the maximum that could happen is that we decide to talk to that player.
I'm not.They're scared of me

This leads to my reasoning, the treatments by the gm's. Not that WE (the players who aren't permitted) get treated badly, but the permitted onses get treated, different.K, players can report other players under a cloak of anonymity via the various abuse e-mails. What makes that board any different?
That could happen of course, I do not deny it.Cliu Beothach wrote: It's more that, the players have a closer connection to GM's and I think you can see that IG, as far as treatement goes.
But it's not a too big price to pay I think. At least that is our consideration.
You will be glad to hear that people leave this group and others join, so we have a rather constant flow.
This way, there will be a lot of GM pets who get huge amounts of ig-money, rare items and such.

K, you go about it the wrong way. I figured out how things work too, but I dont follow how others do it.
I find most of the older players abuse rules or get angry quicker, seems like they feel they have a right to it. Not all, because some of the best older players are great, but just because you are old doesn't mean you are better or even good at rp.
