I don't expect that. You don't have to be good friends with them. Just accept their room to live like they will accept our now.
They will still attack people who will irrupt into their territory. But there won't be attacks of town as long as we don't provoke it.
I don't see any reason why they should had helped us, if they want our death. They could have attacked after they opend just one gate and entered town. We wouldn't have had any chance.

The Trolls helped us. They did not have to. Accept it. If you dont want to trust them - dont. But do NOT do anything to provoke them. Leave them alone and see what happens. If they attack again you can say "I told you so". If not - accept that they have made their peace with us.
Just respect the truce and see what happens.
For there to be peace someone has to make the first move. Blood has been shed on both sides. Crimes committed against and by both sides.
Now is the time to put all this behind us and look to the future. They made the first move for peace. Now it is up to all of us to make it last.
Respect the Trolls territory and leave them be.

I believe the trolls attacked us for our attacks on them, and for cutting their trees in the Eastern forest, their home. After we attacked their trees, their home, the did the same to us. Now they help us as long as we promise not to hunt them or cut their forest. They is the respect we should maintain, no more, but no less.
