This is doubtful that we will ever see true pets here.
Maybe some more neutral animals, like cats and dogs, but no true pet that is bound to your character.

Depends on your definition of pets. Horses can be pets, and rich people could afford to own the finest horses which they treat like pets instead of being used for labor.
