Student Seeking Master

Post by Iekka »

A neatly written note flutters from the wind created as people rush past, maybe the deep red ink it is written in catches your eye, or maybe it is the soft, milky white pettals of a delicate rose that is held up by the thin dagger holding the note to the door.

The note Reads:

To those of the Arcane arts of the woods I make my call,
In my heart I wish to learn the true ways of the magic of the woods, through both Druidicy and the Arcane Sorceries.

If you have knowledge of either of these arts, please, let me learn them - let me understand.

Ereaes walks up to the wall and a small flutter of red catches his eye. Her turns and reads the note. Ereaes takes out some rartchment and begins to write.....

Dear white rose,

I know some skills in that of healing in the magical syle of the arcane.
If you wish to learn you may send me a dove.

Ereaes then puts the note next to the one he is replying to.

"White Rose,"

It is quite well known that the mental ramifications of channeling magical energies such as mana are both taxing and in some cases, dangerous to the student.

One side effect of the severe mental conditioning of the arcane arts of hermetic sorcerors, shamans, etcetera is that it becomes difficult to concentrate on other strenuous mental skills, such as the arts of alchemy and druidry down to the point where it is rare to see a master of both mediums--or even a master of one who is skilled at all in the opposite field.

I would reccomend, before you begin such training, to pick one or the other. If it is possible that your mind can conform to both ranges of thought, a rare case indeed, then you may learn the other.

However, as a student in the arts of magic, it is my intense belief that no magic could be considered specifically "of the woods." Magic is universal, and without it's influence on our life, we simply cease to exist. The lair of the sorceror is in understanding how to manipulate the science of magic. Magic is the same wether found in nature or among the brick roads of our villages. Although many sorcerers claim to manipulate the energy of magic--mana--in different ways, it is a matter of preference. The same knowledge mixed with the same components will create the same effect.

As such, it is my belief that druidry would be more suitable for you. If it is that you agree, I would reccomend speaking to a member of the Druids of the Forest.

Your Servant,
Moskher Heszche

You can also speak to me, for my knowledge has not specifically dwindled yet. So, if you truly wish to learn druidry, come to me and I will teach you.

Sincerely,

~Misjbar~

A woman cloaked in deep greens walks up to the note, a white rose in her hand and she reads them carefuly before walking away with a smile on her face.

The woman, her face showing lines of tears walked back to her note and quickely flipped through offers, then pulled out her quill and scribed down another note.

Dear Ereaes and Misjbar,
I smile upon your offers, though long ago now it seems they were placed.

Maybe I could one day soon take them up.

And to Moskher,
I thank your for your wise words, every breath will be though after, and every action though through. If it is in the end that I can harness them both, then I shall be blessed, but untill then I seek but the knowledge.

Dear ms.White Rose,

My offer to teach you the way of healing of the arcane still stands, and if you wish to learn, all you have to do is send me a dove.
