You can role play your halfling smoking, and we don't need a lighthouse. Please wait untill you can play before you actually make suggestions because you don't actualy understand the games actually abillities.

We already have a lighthouse, or better, a watchtower. It is a ruin. And it is on a beach.

Pipes would be a nice item to have, nevertheless.

moathia.....i would like to know who you think you are telling ppl to keep their ideas to themselves or telling them to wait till they can play..........the forum section was made for a reason. How dare you tell him to keep comments to himself. If he wants his halfling to smoke some freakin ganja from a pipe....then let him speek his mind....and nobody like you gonna tell him otherwise....capiche?

and thats my 2 cents.

Oh and as for ideas, ill come up with some good ones just someone accept my account activation! lol

Who are you, the Godfather.

And in the future please express your point of view in a less offensive manner.

i fail to see how i was offensive.....all i did was make him clear to the fact that he is in no possitionn to tell ppl to keep their ideas untill they get in game.....im not even in game yet....but would that give you the right to tell me to not submit my thoughts? think about it logicaly for a second....i am not at fault.....and concenrning the capiche thing? what says that it origionated from the Godfather....i am italian and i think i have a right to use words from my language no? If things continue like this....im going to lose interest in illarion very fast cus it seems to me that it has a couple sour apples....or maybe ill stay and make some apple sauce out of all of you. To the GMs to decide your fates.

First of all, it's written "capisce?", which would qualify me for the Godfather. ;) Second of all, most proposals that are not well-thought out, not detailed, and not containing clues as to how the staff could implement them in the game (realistically - try considering the programming aspect of implementation into the client and server code - I know you're not all programmers but it would already help if you first speak with someone who actually can program), are probably just not read by those, to whom they supposedly concern.

The client has much more annoying limitations they are working against, and alot of these so-called proposals clutter up the space of this forum section and render it almost useless for actually improving something in the game from the player's side.

Why? Because the staff is forced to wade through piles of proposals that are not possible to be realized or simply not worth the time yet (these people still don't work for money, and the donations that have been proposed only go to the server upkeep) -- as well as the few, rare, occasional ones that are useful, can be implemented in a realistic work-time relation, and will have a strong but meaningful impact on the game.

How are you to propose something to be implemented into the game, if you are not within the game. You make suggestions which you have no idea are not allready implemented, or if there is a need for this implementation.

And as Moirear Sian has said, unless you are within the ga,me, you wont have an idea at the technical limits in which the server may be used.

But please feel free to add your thoughts to allready discussed points where you think your knowledge in RL will be of aid to this proposal.

thank you moirear. That does make alot of sense. And sry bout that italian typo lol. I just found it hard to believe that a person trying to help was totaly shot down wether by another player or by staff. An idea is an idea. And im sure his intent was good. I just thought there was a need to let them know that freedom of speech about ideas implimented to the game was a big part of the relationship between staff and testers. If we are told to keep our thoughts to ourselves befor we even get into the game, i think that can have a hindering evect on the number of ppl getting in on this whats look to be like a very promissing game aswell as gamers being less willing to share thier thoughts with others. Constructive critisism from now on ok?

1) I've written in a thread in the General Discussions board that you can use a glass-blowing pipe or a horn to emulate the possession of a pipe. Then there are herbs you could use, which are all to be found already in the client, which you could "throw away" to emulate smoking. Finally, using a #me-command to portray this action so other people so they can "perceive" it in-game.
You will be shot down if you propose something that has been proposed before, or seems absolutely minor in comparison to the greater technical weaknesses of client and server code. Use the "Search" function extensively before you post on the Proposals board. Pipes, smoking, cookies, etc.; you can find ways to role-play and get around all these things in the client.

2) Please do not double-post. There are ways to group your information into one single post.
