The Truth as I know it; to all people of Troll's Bane

To Everyone who has any interest in the welfare of the town:

An election is coming up soon and many of you are wondering which candidates to pick. They all seem like very nice people, most have influential people supporting them, and they each seem influential themselves. How can you choose whom to vote for? It is simple, don't vote.

All these candidates are issuing empty promises. Just look at the past and how much our last electee promised versus how much they actually did. Not much.

These candidates may have the best intentions in mind, but they will get nothing done, as has happened before and will happen in the future again. Why? A foreign army has decided to control Troll's Bane. They have created a military police force to limit who goes in and out. They have murdered in the streets, in the shops, in the homes, anywhere they can think of! They go under the façade of protecting us, but all they are protecting is their greedy want of blood. Karmane slew a person in town. This of course is not acceptable. How did the town guard respond? They slaughtered him tenfold more times! If one death isn't right, how can any multiple of it be right?

Karmane then promised peace if they stopped the massacre. I suppose he had recieved more then enough of a punishment. So what do the "righteous" town guard do? They again go for the kill.

I had a discussion with Alora. She stated that he had to be punished with jailtime in addition to the many many deaths in order to stop Karmane from killing more innocents. Maybe she's right, maybe not. Only time will tell.

Back on topic, a bloodthirsty army run by a greedy organization that deals with none of the issues of this town on a day-to-day basis is currently in control of Troll's Bane. And if you think it's bad now, just wait till after the election and they start making "official" decisions for you.

Before it's too late, show your support for the Voice of the People. It is the only organization that vows to put the common people, you and me, back in charge of the town. And it won't use force, kill innocents, steal, or otherwise create havoc. And the best part? Only your best interests are considered in every decision, not the interests of greedy or warmongering outsiders.

Where there is a shared will, there will be a way.

Do you even think that if we nominated someone in that it would make a difference? They can't fulfil their promises because they'd need at least 2 votes of the three to agree. Strange how this self proclaimed government already has two members who put themselves in the council.

Basically, whoever gets in will just be a front to keep the 'stupid' people happy, they'll think they can make differences, and little ones they will, but the main issues will soley be down to Lennier and John Irenicus.

Frankly I don't see there any point to them offering this third place, they might as well not have it. Only seems that their scared of other people's ideas ruining their own plans, scared that they'd lose control.

I don't know these people well, but they seem to have honerable backgrounds from what I have heard of them, yet I still see no reason to trust them unless they at least add one or two more publicly elected positions. They have stated that there are only 3 places to make things quicker, but it only seems it will be faster for them to force on us their ways.

Like I said, it is a matter of trust, and I don't like the way they elect themselves, thus being entitled to the majority vote every time.

That is why I suggest we band together to protect the town we hold dear! What can they do if we reject their government? Kill us? It would hardly make sense because then they'd have no one to rule over. And if they do? We've fought for our town before, we'll do it again!

The future lies in your hands, people of Troll's Bane. Do you want to create peace in the long run by fighting for it today, or do you want to give in today and create hell for all those that follow?

Think, should your children be punished through your inaction?

What do you speak of? There is no foriegn army controlling the town of Trollsbane, if there is one, please point it out. There are two groups: The Guards and the Grey Rose who DO put the best interest of the town in mind. If they didn't, there would not be a Town Guard, to protect citizens, and keep things under control.

Fighting now will not bring peace to anyone, you are very mistaken. They use force on those who are illegally inside of town, or are causing problems. Many times the guards themselves were attacked first. You plan not to use force? How would criminal issues be put to a stop? There are many respectable people within the towns leadership, and to say otherwise is a pure insult to great people.

Past systems had good intent, but declined due to inactivity. If this system is kept active, then the voting process and everything else will be fine. Many positive things can get done within this system, but instead you choose to try and destroy it. Peace and stability will never come from that. You say the guards and the others create havoc? I live inside town, and I see their job is well done, things are pretty orderly, and it is quite peaceful, with a few exceptions. They deserve more credit than you give them, they secure the town, and you call them murderers and theives?

I do not know about everyone else, but anyone who appreciates the Guards work, the Grey Rose's work, and this good opportunity to vote and improve things, should express their opinions using the election system, instead of giving in to lies and hatred, which supposedly bring peace.

I is time like this that I wish I could vote.
I know that the Guards and Grey Rose have literally saved my life on many occassions and that I very much appreciate the fine job they do in keping peace and order in the town as well as protecting it from trolls and such.

I bow to them all, with respect and gratitude.
