Naming problem  Operating System

Post by KillerX »

After reading many many posts, it have come to my conclusion that the naming system may not be 100% compatible with windows NT kernal based operating system.  Windows 2000 is technically known as NT 5.*.  * shoulbe replaced by a version number that only MS kept track since the big faileur of their official release of NT5.0, but anyhow, it doesn't seem to work with our 2000.  Then there's the recent post from cosma., which indicated windows XP.  Windows XP is the newset operating system that will be released as of umm, tomorrow, according to my watch, october 25th, 2001.  This and ANY future operating system will be made on the NT kernal.  I can only assume that our problems are caused by that, since I have yet to hear from any one with a windows 9.X (95, 98, ME) based operating system.  Look into that Admin, maybe it would help us alot.  Thanks!

do you have a NTFS based file system? or even a NT50overhead for your hdd?  may be minor sections of 2k pro that needs to be fixed or things like those that are hard to fix.

Many people say that Microsoft creates buggy programs, but I guess even if there are bugs, reading from a file will work the same way with Windows 98 or 2000. If not, no program would work properly.
