team talk
I was wondering if anyone would be interesting in this program. It allows people to communicate over a channel radio on the internet and lets you talk to people on it.
I was going to buy Illarion its own channel so people can talk over it like OOC so we can try to cut down the OOC talk. And also to get to know the person behind the character. It cost a little bit of money but im willing to pay for Illarions OWN channel.
All you need is a headset that will allow you to talk and lisin which cost maybe 5-10 dollors. Than we can all communicate on Illarion on those long boring days!
So does anyone think its a good idea I want a good number of people that will do it so im not wasting my money.
Thanks

I for one wouldn't participate in this, and it's not because I'm unwilling to pay for a head set. While you may enjoy getting to know the person behind the screen during a game of Illarion, others may not.
Others (including myself) much prefer to immerse ourselves in the role of our character. This atmosphere would be destroyed by OOC chit chat going on all around.
Some viable reasons for why I don't agree with this idea:
1)There aren't enough players to benefit from this. There wouldn't be enough people with the headset playing at any one time to benefit.
2)There's MSN, Y!, ICQ or AIM for getting to know the players on those long boring days.
3)Considering the date you joined, you're probably in the middle of the honeymoon phase of Illarion. Right now you're probably of the opinion that Illarion can do no wrong. When you get irritated with it (which can happen), you may decide to get rid of the chat service, leaving whatever number of users there may be, rather cheesed off.

Well ever thought about the fact that most of the players are native german player, I do not think that an american could understand a German who talks english while not seeing him...
trust me
Therefor it would be a choise for american and brits only...
On the other hand, I do not see the point in it... I use mIRC, ICQ and MSN and if I want to know the players behind the screen I still can send them a pm or something like that... In my opinion there is no need for another Illarion chat....
