Can't start Illarion.exe - Can't Play Game

I download the latest build i saw on the Illarion webpage but when i go to start it up it says a device associated with file is not work and also that it's missing a dll attached to directdraw or something like that...i did start it from the directory it was in also...any help or suggestion would be appreciated

It sounds like you haven't installed directX 7.0 or higher. You can get it in the download secion too (or directly at the microsoft download page).
