South Forest Onionball Tournament #1
Greetings to all onionball players,
The South Forest Onionball Tournament began today, and we were lucky to have a good turnout, getting three of four games done. I expected it to take longer to get the opponents together at the same time. There were also some spectators which is good. Anyways here were the days events:
Gurik Elvenstar(3) Defeats Sian(2)
Nilo(3) Defeats Val De Gausse(2)
Fooser(3) Defeats Kincent Nolatri(1)
Kaja Wolfagen and Drogla yet to go.
(All the humans out in one round, what does that say? Mwaha.)

Updated Tournament information can be found here:
http://www.geocities.com/illaonion/Even ... ment1.html
Along with a sketch of the days happenings.

New Members:
-Drogla
-Silver Serpent

Championship Tournament
The championship tournament will be down the road aways. But when that happens, there will be 16 players(when we get 16), and they will play in a similar style tournament as the current one. The winner will get a bigger prize, and the title of Onionball champion for the next few months until the next championship.

Did Salathe give permission for this onion ball league, because I know I didn't.

Did a scribe give you permission to write on a peice of paper? Why dont you go clean up pig waste, kid.

Anyways:
Fooser(3) Defeats Gurik(1)

Kaja and Drogla still need to play, but they havent been around. If neither are around, a substitute will play the first opponent he can find, and move on from there.

Thank you for those words of wisdom Kasume, but I am well aware of that, hence it is called "Outside" onionball league.

Drogla and Kaja:
If you two can't find eachother, then you should play one of three substitutes, whoever you see first basically. The substitutes are:
-Silver Serpent
-Earendros
-Kincent

Welcome new Member: Aristeaus

Drogla(3) defeats substitute Kincent(2)
-Drogla and Nilo must play in Round two now if you can find eachother, that would be good.

Also:
Aristeaus believes that the person who gets the onion first gets the advantage, so each player should get three throws instead of ending at 3-2 if no one misses. There can be a few ways so solve this problem, please post your thoughts on a possible rule change.

If neither misses, the second person throws a win or continue onion. If he misses he loses, if he hit they continue and the person who misses next loses. Hit or lose is a good name for the rule.

how about each player throws 3 onions, whoever hits most wins

If it is a tie, each player gets one onion. It is fair for all

How about an alternating system?
h=hit
m= miss

h-h
h-h
h-h

So the score would be 3-3

Then the extra play would be alternating, if the first person misses, the second person needs to hit to win. If they both miss or both hit, it continues, example:

h-h
m-m They continue
m-h The second person gets a hit, so he wins 5-4
This would also work for h-m, except the first person wins. Does that sound like a decent new scoring system?

Your game? YOUR game?

This game was invented long before then, and not by you. All YOU did was change the name.

not really...

there were just games where you threw stuff at eachother in general, not very closely related to onion ball, pigball, fish pong, oreball, they all have the same concept but different ways to play. No one ever came up to me and showed me some game i was just throwing onions at paul and thought it'd be fun to make it a game, so i did, then i made the onion ball field and rules

all games have alot of similarites that doesnt mean they are rip offs of eachother

and if your thinking of onion hit, someone showed hadrog onion ball and he didnt know someone already founded it and he decided to make it his own game and later finding out i had anounced how to play onion ball long before that

and how come this is the first time someone has ever said anything about onionball being the same as any other game after 1 year and 7 months(real life time, i dunno how everything converts into game time...) of the day i first announced onion ball

and the closet game to onion ball is oreball, which was never really explained very well and never really became popular, and is still pretty different from onion ball

Salathe, your rules are evil, and do not help the current scoring problem.

Anyways,
-Drogla and Nilo still need to play.
-We need four more people for a 16 person championship tournament.

If it's first to three, then the person who throws first gets the advantage.
