not sure if this has been brought up yet, but i was wondering if somthing could be done about the fact that monsters can still see you underground. at thew smaragd mine flies hover over the location your at, just above you and move to the latter as you come up. not to bothersome but it's a bit annoying, but the new Demon can also see you as you come so unless he's far off on the other side of that cave he'll be waiting right next to the latter for you. it's more troublesome with the demon then the flies, so beforew i start this massive dying spree i was wondering if it's a possible fix.
can't you ever not leave me be Kasume. i actually wanted to test out the magic resistance on the Demon, They're about what i expected when i was in the first test for them however i wasn't quite sure if they were immune to all magic or just paralyze. either way there tough now but i didn't want to drag a bunch of other players to there doom in order for me to test out the thoery. when i went i didn't expect it to be waiting next to the latter for me however
. no big deal, it's just a few skill points who cares, still it would be incrediably annoying for a group to go down into the same situtaion. someone would still die, it just might not me everyone

ahh good good. maybe it's only the flies and the orc guards, thats where i've noticed them being able to see me before i come. but sheesh i'm not supposed to be there after all. as long as big red isn't going to prempt me everytime i go then i have no problem. but as to my other thought are they completely magic immune or is it just yeg kel? i may have to invest in a few lackies to do my dyin...err fighting for me.

well maybe i'll see if i can get a few people together. i was wondering about the magic part mainly because the last time one of my fireballs bounced back on me (was attacking the Neon/ Demon skellie. What was i thinking!?!
) i ended up in puff city. i'd rather throw on some heavy metal armor in that case instead of working behind the fighters trying to provide support when bam...i'm a tiny little cloud.

So basically, you're trying to figure out what spells you can use without wanting to die. Meaning, OOC required knowledge.Athian wrote:well maybe i'll see if i can get a few people together. i was wondering about the magic part mainly because the last time one of my fireballs bounced back on me (was attacking the Neon/ Demon skellie. If spells are more powerful, which they are in your case, then any sensible thing to do if you were the person, was to test ALL your spells. If your character doesn't know which spells to use. Then oh well.
If I'm wrong. Please clarify.

Because going down by yourself is certain death, and bringing a squadron of people with you takes away the space you need to manuever around, or escape. Whether you bring one person or ten, it seems like a deathtrap.martin wrote:I wonder why noone yet tried to find some strong group and tried to kill it.
What's up?

I rather ask myself "why" should we kill it.martin wrote:I wonder why noone yet tried to find some strong group and tried to kill it.

Why should peaceful farmer go out and try to kill demons?
As long there is no overwhelming reward or a real present danger, why should our characters happily waste thier lifes for nothing?
There has to be some background and not "We placed a demon spawn, have fun killing it."
I have not yet seen the area of this demon, when it is somewhere, where I have to venture to deep caves, and go even deeper encoutering dangers on this way until I finaly reach the last chamber with the grinning demon in it, then its a fine setting.
If its:
Entrance, Cave + Demon
then its somewhat missplaced.

You hear an elderly man talking hysterically to someone who probably is his son about unknown forces joining together and planing to invade the island. He tells that he heard of a cave near Northerot where they created an outpost, probably occupied with 2 demonic creatures. They are said to be incredibly strong. The ones to stop this evil, you hear him say, should be rewarded with quite some treasure. The man does not seem sane to you, however, there is that bad feeling this story leaves...
There is the rumor and reason Darlok
not so much which spells work becasue it wouldn't matter anyway to a characater that had no skill in magic even if there were spells that worked so i'd have to have individual knowledge of my own characters abilites for that information to even be valid. i'm just wondering about it because it's such a major difference from the pair of test demons that the GM's modified and they were tough as well. If you read closly i'm not asking for a list of which spells work and which don't. just if magic works in general. okay? okay.So basically, you're trying to figure out what spells you can use without wanting to die. Meaning, OOC required knowledge.

The topic reffers to the old man being a bit... crazy maybe?Darlok wrote:Ture Val, I didnt noticed it in the "other" rumour topic.
I have the habbit to only look in the sticky.
Now tell me, if someone came running at you yelling like a friggin lunatic saying that there were people in tanks and had guns down the street. Would you go alone? Let alone, would you go AT ALL?
really thats amazing. no time to argue with you. even if i do know here that doesn't mean my characters gonna go off on a demon fighting spree. he wouldn't know. besides have you tried to fight that thing let. i made it out by the skin of my teeth then a backtracked by accident and slice i went down. like ya said no one fights the demon alone. so yea i'm asking ooc but i'm not mixing occ and ig because Ath already tired magic and as far as he knows it didn't work.

yea....but you make a good point. A farmer wouldn't fight a demon unless he REALLY needs money. Probably a lot of people in reality wouldn't risk their life. If Val wasn't couped up and bored stiff...then he wouldn't be intereseted in that too much.
there too...
