As the title reads i have an Idea for the magic system. (Not to take out the You don't
understand feature)

But, to make a way to enhance intelect ( or any other skill  :cheesy: )
by performing somthing that needs intelect such as casting magic, reading books ect.

For you see, the skills system is a VERY good and unique feature BUT, for the magic system
The player has to actualy use the rune to enhance the use of the rune which in turn disables
the player to use it in a spell.  

But in my idea the intelect it self will rise (slowly) to enable use of other spells plus this has a role playing side that a person who reads a lot of books and studys and such will not be an ill-
read person. (in the game the lybiary research <sorry for poor spelling> raises the lybiary research but not the intelect itself.

The skills for the runes could be for fortes and weaknesses and be the same thing for defense
terms. like resistance aginst ice, water, fire ect.

This may already exist or not, if so we can improve upon it or tweak it. If not we can improve on what i have. (This is why i am posting this in the first place :cheesy: ) So please give Any
comments sugestions anything On my first post and topic.

The magic system is a very controversial issue nowadays.  It was recently changed, causing much quarrel among the players.  There have been several suggestions on how to make it in the future, but it is not known when or if it will be changed.  Raising the stats (eg. Intellect, Agility) was mentioned before, but it too was the centre of a large argument.  It is a good proposal, but we will have to wait and see just where it goes.

I think this is a good proposal also, overall this is in my oppinion, the best proposal of them all because it would help in many ways, including reducing powergaming by practicing spells on nothing.

I am very pleased that people are responding and are actually in support
of my idea.

And if any one objects to this, don't be afraid to. (not that any one would be afraid to :biggrin: )

Just keep posting and saying whatever you want about this idea.

@ Astral :  I hope that this goes far and settels the agument that you mentioned
, and I hope that you are as exicted as I am to see where this goes. :smile:
