Post by Galim »

This is a known problem and is directly related to the sheep-problem.

It's not directly a bug but was deactivated for some reasons.

We work on it.

Does anything happens yet? Is that "bug" solved?

Should I comment on that or would you prefer that I just ignore your statement?

Well, then:
Currently, Illarion makes faster progress than EVER. One person is currently spending his WHOLE day (for several weeks now) on programing Illarion (from early morning till evening), namely our new GM Cassandra, I spend a lot of time of my day for Illarion as well and some other people spend very much time in development currently.

We don't get anything for it. In contrary, someone has to pay for the server (which costs quite some money per month!).

Does this explain my reaction?

It does.

The new GMs do a really good job, and i would like to thank them. We never had so fast progress before. Also a big thanks for !name and !gm, it helps a lot.

Thank you, new GMs.

Just to mention it:

These two commands are the simplest among the recent changes. It's just that they are instantly obvious to the players.

The big changes do not affect the gameplay instantly and directly. They mainly concern flexibility of the coding (to be able to implement new features faster or better or enabling generally new features, for example time dependent effects) or the scripting language, which enables the scripters to write a variety of new, complex and flexible scripts, which then will be visible to the players.
That means that you only get to see the "small" changes now. The big changes will follow and affect the gameplay slowly but with constant change because we first need to implement things which use these new features.
It's like having a brand new computer but you don't have installed the cool programs yet. ;)
