about elves - a slight difference

Post by Morgaine Le Fay »

just some other useless suggestion i think - but since i am in love with elves... here i go

there are many different elf races... forest-elves, gray-elves, dark-elves and high-elves and also half-elves...i wished we could choose between what elf we want to be - i know that there is lots to do with the grafix thing but - hey - you just have to color them differently - shouldnt be too much of a problem... and they have different abilities too - think of that.

would make this whole thing even more addictive than it is already ;-)

well i would really call a half-elf a race as that is cause by an elf and another race mating, but yes different types of elves would be cool, but it would be better if at the start we could just pick out hair colour and maybe some clothes colour
i would think it wouild be that hard to just load up the pre-existing graphicks and going oever them with a paint brush, right?

But that would suggest you never changed your clothes ......eeewwwwww.....so what we have now is best in my opinion.  Excluding the added elf races thing, there are more races on the way according to the back ground info just wait a bit :)  But hey thats just my opinion, Setherioth don't you think my hand is getting cramped holding this darn spear?!  But you will never get it away from me, no, I like it very much, I mean I have been with this spear since the time I was born.

haha :)
but i'll im saying is just a bit of colour, you know like the coloured bands we have underneath our bodies, i assume those are to help with identification (i don't know of any other reason) but instead of there why not have them in our hair or somewhere else so it looks more realistic

Nope, that is not how they work.  Quite differently in fact.  Here's the closest interpretation I have noticed (although the bands probably have NO meaning related to stats):

Blue:  High attack, low defense
Red:  Balanced
Yellow:  Low attack, high defense

But as I said, they most likely have absolutely NO relationship to stats.

I think its kind of nonsense to seperate every elfrace. Later you come with orcraces... wildorcs are bigger etc.
later there are Hobbits... hobbits with small feet. hobbits without hair.
later its human... african, asian...
then some lizards with one cm longer tail then the other.

Come on, just play like you give the attributes. I think drows (dark elfs) will be seperated. But I'm not sure (mostly drows aren't elfs, its up to the game/ author).
So just play greyelf, woodelf or whatever you want, I think a woodelf is fast, advanced with the bow and knows about alchemy.

In the future, there should be more than two graphics between a race.  I don't think that they will have all those types of elves, but maybe a few.  Same with dwarves, humans, orcs, and lizardmen.
