in my opinion smacc is wrong, because you can't shovel gold nuggets any more. can you buy them at eliza? no? ok lets talk about ingots.

Well, that is interesting. i could swear i got a nugget the last time a ring i tried to smith failed. well, of course it is no nugget from a mine, or a river, just to nuggets molten gold. but at the end, it is the same.
