Construction Begins

Post by veralion »

Veralion, Grunith, and other Bloodskulls stand around the fountain. They hand out shovels and axes to eachother. Some go to dig and others to chop trees.
The two stand by eachother, watching the land that goes to the desert and further on.
"Building our land begins todays, as the war ended todays. It be a good day!" Veralion said. Grunith agreed and began to make sure others new what their jobs were. "Construction begins!" he shouted.
A long day of watch, skirmish, and work was almost over. But more was to come...

Grunith now looks upon all that remains of the stone paths to the west of the castle. He grinned a little as he was pleased with the progress of the construction and tearing down of the old ruins. So far that day, Val de Gausse and Ostanos Lebensfroh, two human men, began construction on the road. They dug and lifted up the cobblestone from the old roads of the kingdom and moves them to a pile of rubble on the rocky outcrop of the mountains there. As they had done so, Grunith had gone and gathered some gold coins for their wages. The two had agreed to become citizens of the new Blood territory and for choosing so, they were rewarded.

Grunith winced somewhat as a silent, small gust of wind blew in from the sea. The area was still barren, but slowly, it's population was rising. Also earlier that day, the cheif had come to him and spoke of yet another halfling who agreed to become a citizen. Grunith grinned at this news and nodded his head a little. Afterwards, his cheif left back to the cave to sleep. And since then, Grunith had left for a walk where he travelled from some places around the ruins. The tall, looming ruins of the castle that remained shook once more as it's weight slowly began to give in. And slowly, it still was giving in. Grunith only guessed it would have been a matter of time before it fell. The old castle was becoming more and more rotten as the hours passed. And so it would age as such.

After his walk, Grunith returned back into the cave. There he closed his eyes and fell asleep, thinking about the days of construction to follow.
