The Haunting

Post by Deies Eldermoore »

After Deies ascended into the heaves, the gods struck him down again his task not yet complete. He had given up and his foul dead body was wearing down as he layed trapped in Darlok's Castle. Until one day an orc came by and called over an elf. She let him out and Deies headed to town. His body eventually was gone and left was his spirit. He was hellbent on haunting.

Shouts of fear could be heard at Trollsbane´s marketplace, as the etheral entity was spotted and several citizens were scared off by it, promising them death and doom. Soon the guardsmen came to know about the ghost, roaming the streets and gathered to solve the problem.

Two men clad in armour and bearing the coat-of-arms of the town guard spoke to the shadowy being, the way they addressed it making clear, that they knew about it´s identity. As the ghost could not be made to leave the plane of mortals, they asked a man for help, unknown to most of the people witnessing the scene. This man, a grey cloak wrapped around his shoulders, a simple walking stick in his hands, spoke an arcane formula, a spell, to banish the being into a bottle and like fog, blown away by the wind, the ghost was forced into the bottle. Qickly, the bottle was sealed and the guardsmen carried it away. Released, now the ghost haunts the halls and corridors of the dark prison building, it´s whining tormenting the lost and the damned residing in there.

After waking up, Sherri makes her way toward the center of town and see's the spirit, the same one that had chased her a few times in the past few days. The guards saw him as well and tried to handle the spirit, and told him to go to the cross, or away from town. The ghost argued with them, and went around to others whispering it's angered remarks. It chased her toward the tavern. Three men arrived a little while afterward. She watched as they swiftly and professionally bottled the spirit and removed it from the town. She thanked the three men afterwards for removing the menace from the town.
