weird arrow thingies

I can't see some items, and instead all there is is little stupid arrow things where the items are. what do i do?

To minimize the client and reenlarge it solved this problem for me. The standard solution for all problems might be to reinstall the client.

I only get them when I alt-tab out of Illarion.

Yeah reinstalling or just replacing the graphics files might resolve this.
