Farewell

Grant grabbed his wand leaving behind mana potions, he sprinted up the stairs and saw Derinoar giving ground to several pirates. The pirate ship dwarfed the Movement's.
Grant aimed his wand and shot out an ice bolt that hit one pirate in the chest knocking him over the edge of the boat. Salathe raced ahead of Grant, he had his claws out and was swipping at the throats of the prisoners.
Val stumpled ahead of Grant, he had a peg where his leg once was. Val swung around his double axe...

The battle to keep their ship had begun.

Salathe slashed the pirates face with his claws, and brought up his otehr claws and spilt blood from the mans chest, then drove his shoulder to the pirates chest and flipped him over the deck. Another pirate brought up his sword in front of Salathe, and Salathe stopped the blade with the palm of his hand, and pulled it from pirate and stuck it into his chest. Then he ran to where planks were connected from each ship and started to knock them off, causing the pirates that were crossing over fall into the sea

Derinoar Went to the next Plank and began to fight off pirates..Derinoar stabed one in the chest the brought his foot to his chest to kick him off his lance..The next pirate in line ran out him and he repeated his block and twisted move..about that time he looked over at Salathe while he fought back another pirate..

"Hey! your stealing my move!"

Derinoar Smirked as he jumped on the plank and began to work his way to the other ship...

Val took out a peg leg from his bag...stared at his fresh wound and pondered. He sat there for minutes deciding what to do...finally making the choice only to help when things were very bleak.

Grant saw that they were vastly out numbered and they had no chance of fighting them off. He aimed his wand at the pirate ship and casted ra kel yeg qwan onto one of the Pirate ship's masts. It erupted into flames, Grant then began to open up their own mast, hoping Salathe and Fallvictor could hold off the pirates long enough for the mast to be opened.

Salathe looks over at Fallvictor's lance, and wishes he had his halberd. But he didn't, so he looked back forward at a number of pirates coming across another plank. Salathe runs to the railing of the deck, then leaps to the other boat and grabs the plank the pirates are moving from, and pulls it off the rail and throws it at the pirates in front of him.

Derinoar Lands on the deck of the other ship and looks at the many pirates runing at him...He dunks down and swings his lance in a circle, triping and taking out as many of the pirates legs as he can.He jumps up and takes the fornt of his lance in to the face of a pirate, then pulls back and hits a pirate behind him with the back of the lance knocking him out..Derinoar knows his outnumbered by about 10 other pirates in his immedate area so he runs for the top of the deck...

Grant tightly ties the rope a rope connected to the mast to a knot on a side of his ship. He runs across the boat to the other side and does the same, the mast is opened now. It begins to catch wind.

"Get back here now!" Grant yells to Salathe and Fallvictor, he casts another ice bolt that hits the last pirate on his ship off.

Derinoar looks over as he fights more pirates off

"Damn!"

Derinoar jumps to the lower level of the deck bring his lance down on a pirate, he then quickly makes a run for it..as the pirates chase after him

Salathe hears Grants call, and snatches a sword from one of the pirates. A barrel thrown by a pirate knocks him to the ground. He looks up and sees the mast right in front of him. The pirate walks up to Salathe with his sword raised, and Salathe grabs his leg and trips him. Salathe gets up and thrusts his sword into the base of the mast making a big crack in it. He picks up the barrel and throws it at the mast and it starts to break and lean forward. Quickly he cuts the ratlines and the mast falls onto the ships breaking it open. Salathe dives in the water to avoid the wreck

Derinoar is almost back to the boat when, a pirate trips him he hits the deck hard and drops his lance..he looks up to see a pirate dressed nicer than the others with two more behind him..Derinoar assumes its the capatin and his first mate along with another higher up..

"Heh just my luck.."

"Luck!? This ain't Luck on your part.."

Derinoar Jumped up,and flicked his wrist making a dagger drop to his plam form his shirt sleeve...then Derinoar Lunges at the man left of the Capatin..He brings his sword up and blocks the dagger attack but Derinoar falls to the ground, and once again catchs him self with his arm and swings his foot out to trip the man as he falls, Derinoar pulls him self upward and puts the dagger in the path of the falling Pirate..

Derinoar makes a run for his lance But the capatin kicks it off the deck and it falls to the sea below..Derinoar looks at it falling in a shock, his eyes fill with Rage as it hits the water..

"Damn you!!"

"I told you it wasnt luck boy.."

Derinoar runs at the capatin but the first mate steps forward and slashes his sword..Derinoar gets cut in the shuldder but stabs the first mate and doesn't even bothed taking the dagger back out

He runs for the captin once again..The Captin draws his Blade and Slashes but Derinoar Side steps doging the blow and knocks the sword form the captins hand, Before the Captin can firgue out what happen Derinoar unleashes many punches which slowly inching the Captin toward the end of the deck ((the side where the movements boat is docked)) and bloody his face..The Capatin gets about 8 inches form the end when Derinoar jumps back and chrages again he jumps in the air and kicks the Captin, but instead of falling in to the water he lands on the deck of the movements boat...

No sooner than Derinoar hits the ground he hears a loud crack he looks over to see the one of the mast falling...Derinaor Jumps out of the way and misses The Movement boat by a inch or so. He grabs on to the edge of the boat and slams angaist the side...he hangs on for his life as He takes a quick glance in to the water to look for his lance but he can't see it any where..

"Val,Grant give me a hand here!!"

Hears Derinoar's help and straps on the peg leg and tightens the leather. Trying to put the least pressure on it he hobbles up to the deck and swings a sword at the pirates

The Movement ship named 'Duhaud' began to lurch forward. The pirate ship was enveloped in flames and chaos. Grant saw Salathe swimming in the sea in the water, he threw down a rope for Salathe to grab onto. He walked over to the pirate captain, before the captain could try to bargain Grant pressed his wand against the pirate's head and unleashed an ice bolt, he then threw the body overboard.
"Pirate scum.." Grant swore as he turned back to the navigator.

Salathe grabs the rope and pulls himself up, the cut where he had stopped the blade with the palm of his hand burns as he pulls his body up. Once up, he looks around at the men, and sees Fallvictor trying to pull himself on board. Salathe walks over and reaches his hand out and pulls him up. Salathe sees the cut on his shoulder.

"Heh... good times"

Salathe grins and walks away

"Yes good times..until my lance fell in the water, Damn those pirates"

Derinoar looks at the Lizard as he walks away..he notice something about him..

"Wait your name is Salathe right?"

Val sits down and takes off his peg leg. His wound is open again and a few drips of blood fall on the floor. "I hope I can have it healed soon, before the next battle" He wraps his wound in a new clean cloth.[/i]

"Figures, my face has been scar and beaten many times since then...but on the other had i rember you taking out many of them..I shot down what beholder i could, but I wasn't a the top of my game back then"

Several days have passed and the pirate attack is now just a dark memory. The men on the 'Duhaud' are working well as sailors now. They have gotten used to the long day, Val has become a fair cook as well. They are almost to the main land, only a couple days off now...
