ok,I agree with the new metal thing that doesn't exist in other games.but I don't agree with the thing that nothing can be done perfectly!we should make a limit,like 1000 daggers for level 2,1000 morningstars for level 3,2000 longaxes for level 4,2000 doubleaxes 5,3000 waraxes for level 6!that's the point.and sean,you just want an armor where arrows fly through,cause you are a damn archer!but,on this point we could bring metal arrows into the game.they should be stronger than normal arrows,but slower and you can't wear 250 of it,maybe 50.the same to one handed axes and spears to fighht with out of metal!The new metal could be black and as hard as finding goldnuggets!its a special skill and new weapons and armor!

I would side with sean on this one as he only voiced his opinion that he did not like mithril, but got a rude response from Reafer telling him to shut up and Rugosch calling him stupid when he did not understand what sean meant.

@Dyluck: I think, I understand Sean, but to take a material like (not equal, but like) mithril and name it Lopinomium (great name, but not at the right place) is the same like to take a individual like an elve and name it Cordaker. It doesnt make sense.
Illarion is a fantasy game like many others.
In Illarion live races like in many other games.
So you could name the materials like in many other games.
The different between Illarion and many other Games should be the system (and who knows, how the game system work?) and the players. You dont need different names for similar things.
Its better to understand for Illarion newbies. Let them find Lopinomium and they ask hundrets of people, what they can make with it. But let them find mithril and the most know it. And noone gives mithril away for nothing, but Lopinomium? What is it? Has it any use or value?
I called Sean a stupid, because he kept an idea and take it without thinking about. You can make a game with new races, new materials and so on, but then all should be new.
And then his words: "i have all the books damy i am just saying in dint really exist and illarion is based on realisum" ???
Illarion is based on Realism? It is a fantasy world like middle earth. What do you mean, should I think about a boy, who cant see the facts?

I agree with your opinions and think that you have the better argument too, but sean still has the right to say his opinions even if there are some problems with it, and saying straight to his face that he is stupid is very rude. Maybe he's not as smart as you but I think you would agree that sean can still voice his opinion even if they are not the same as yours? I would understand if you call him stupid for a REALLY stupid idea like "Lets make a new weapon called Super Cow Sword!" but I don't think his ideas this time were so bad that you need to insult him for it.

Also when english is not the native language for two people, communication is not very good and often there is misunderstanding so don't act too rashly.

By "realism" I think sean means things like "it is unrealistic for a mage to cast spells on himself just like it is unreal for a soldier to shoot himself in the head" and illarion's innovation and originality. Sean's "keep out mithril because of realism" idea and then "bring in liponioum" kind of contradicts each other though.

the online game "tibia" wich sucks, by the way...
have came up with many new metals...
many kind of iron...
like U'gavrar or something, wich is an evil metal, only found in hell... can only be enchanted with evil spells...
we could come up with something like that... just an idea

Realisism-many people belived in magic and dragons and many types of metelas in the past, also many types of weapons and armours (halplate,half chain,iron legs ,tin can helmies) i think a new metel sould be put int he game as much as the next man but i dont think one that make archery a hobby for killing monster sonly is the ticket of course we could always make iron weaker but that probably takes a long time
