"Create Character" crashes

Hi, I'm new here. I just installed Illarion, but when I click "Create" the creation app goes "Not responding"... What can I do to make it work?

Well, you cant create one. Hopefully they are trying to work that out, but as for right now, you will simply have to use a different computer.

Do you have WinXP? Thats what I have and it wont work...

Sorry, I tried to find a similar post, but couldn't... I'm using Windows '98, it's a fine PC, only this won't work

Nobody seems to know where this bug comes from. As Nilo said, create the character on another computer. This does not effect the ability to play it on yours.

I have the same problem, but I do not have access to another computer. Is there another way around it? I am a very new person.

I decided I wanted to create a new character a couple days ago, and sure enough, I found an error report, although this is the first time I've heard about anyone else having troubles. Anyway, I found that if I dragged (drug?) the little error window down, I could still enter my info and that seemed to work OK. I'm not sure what the error thing's all about, since there didn't seem to be any problem

Yes.Ask a person to create your char.But be careful with giving your PW

I'm sure if you sent off a char application with an explination of why you can't make one yourself the GM would probably create it for you.

On the other hand, if someone else makes your char for you then ask a GM to change your password after you have it accepted, just to be safe.
