Ayalla trudges back to town after a long, fruitless search in the forest for Sal. She goes to the town wall and writes:
Well, no luck. I guess it's better than being eaten. I am kind of glad I didn't find him because I really would like to have more people with me if I run into him at a bad time...Well, if any of you would like to help me find Sal and give back his necklace I would be most appreciative. Take care.

..."took them when Salathe wasn't watching"--are you implying I stole them or something...? Well, Kasume I suggest that you let me answer the questions which I know the answers to since you obviously don't. Sorry for being rude, but I am somewhat insulted that you think I would purposely take what keeps Sal sane! Well, let me tell you what actually happened Malinne: I have been living in the wilderness for quite sometime. A few nights ago my cat picked up a scent, and I followed her. My cat led me to Sal's halberd and necklace in the sand of the desert. I took the items and followed the lizard footprints into the forest to find Sal and give him back his items. However, I did find Sal, but he was not himself. I didn't have a chance to even give back the items considering he saw me as something tasty to eat. I was a bit busy trying not to be killed. And so that is what actually happened, Malinne.

Thank you clarifying that, and don't worry, even with Kasume's suggestion I did not think that you were a thief. There seems to be an explanation for just about everything. Perhaps whatever happened to Salathe caused him to lose his belongings. If you need help returning them, Ayalla, I would be glad to be of some assistance.
Does killing innocent people sound like him, Kasume? He is not himself, obviously. Sorry for being snappy, but I am getting more and more worried about the situation. The fact I haven't seen him for awhile worries me greatly...Well, thank you all for your offers of help, and I hope we find him soon. ((Open Boardquest in "What Happened..." for anyone who wants to help find Salathe.))I don't think Salathe would leave his belongings just laying in the sand. That doesn't sound like him.
