Automation?

More of a question than a proposal, I am just wondering.

Is there a way to automate the add char system so that everyone has an account password they need to enter along with their E-mail address when adding a char to an account to make it quicker?

Well, the new characters still need to be checked for name rule compliance, so the GMs need control over the activation process.

But wouldn't everyone who already has an account know the rules, or are there some people who get through who still can't be trusted?

Rule no. 1 in online games: Never trust the player.
Even though most people could be trusted, sure, but this would remain a security hole. Someone who wants to make trouble and has the patience to go through the account process could misuse that easily. Well he could already do enough damage with his first char but we don't want to give him too many possibilities to make trouble, do we?

And even people who read the rules and think they know them will accidently make an unacceptable name.

We are working on a complete new Account System. But that will be a very big one.
