Attack of the Mole Men - New GFX

It'd be neat if there was a race of little mole guys.  We could advance in digging really fast.  ^.^
We'd prolly be about Dwarf size.  Besides, every game needs a super-cute race!  And moles are the cutest I can think of that hasn't been done to death.  ^.^

Thanks, Sturm.  And again, sorry if you misunderstood at first.
As I said in the email, I think it would make a good addition to the game to have a race with little or no combat potential, a type of comic relief.  If everyone's char has some sort of stat which it is based on, which is a combat stat, then it tends to lean the game more towards 'all war, no play'.  And that just doesn't make a lasting game.
Many games seen have I that were based upon RP, that worked.  But many did not because they were based on combat RP.  And that tends to end up being a constant argument, and encourages the badmouthing and playerkilling basis.
What needs to be accomplished is a world which can function much like our own, one which has it's bad eggs, but also functions realistially.
Not everyone should have high stats in combat.  A farmer would have no need for that.
Thus, a more remedial character would add a touch of humor to the game, which is what my proposal was.
Perhaps I should have just explained it better in the beginning.
But by making the race small, cute, and poorly adept at fighting, it would add a desirable race for those who seek a more domestic living, such as myself.  Not everyone wants to log into  a game solely for the purpose of bashing something's head in all the time.  If that was what I thought Illarion was, I would never have come.  I was told it had the growable crops, the mining, and such, and that is why I came.  For a rich RP atmosphere not built entirely around 'kill the critters'.

its sounds resonable.... but mole's?
arent moles agressive small gretchins?
how about.... rabit people.... or centaurs...maybe fairies?...
and arent moles almost blind?
that would disturb the gameplay... but hey its a fantasy world...
the idea is nice.... we should build something based on it

Actually, moles being blind is only a rumor.  They have excellent eyesight- In the dark.  They just squint a lot in the daylight, since thier eyes are very, very sensative.
And aren't rabbits brutal cannibals?  (Fact:  Yes, they eat thier own children.  x.x)

Nah, moles aren't aggressive.  Much like most rodents, they rely on show and loud noise for defense.  If that doesn't work, well, mole soup.

I agree, Centaurs would be a nice addition.  Few games actually put fantasy into the 'fantasy RPG' part of thier title.
Example:  Lords of the Realm.  Let's see, everything is human, based on human, no magic, and anally specific about realism.  That's not fantasy, that's just sticking fantasy into the name.

Rabbit men would be interesting, although other than breeding like.. well.. rabbits, I don't see what they would specialize in?

Moles can dig, thouhg.  =)  That makes them all special.  That and they are cute.  ^.^

I just think it would be good to have a wide variety of highly unusual playable creatures.  It adds a definite touch of uniqueness, and breaks the endless cycle of 'human...elf...dwarf..human..elf...dwarf...' and other similar 'not humans, but they look exactly like humans' dulldromes.

Obviously, what i'm saying isn't just put moles.  It's just my personal preference.  =)
But I think adding something more unique, such as the lizardmen, will help to add to a more attractive field.
I've seen games that tried to implement dragons as playable characters (unsucessfully), perhaps we could all oin together in storming of how to keep balance?
