Hello
I've just had an idea that could make the game (especially fighting) a little more interesting.
What if you could join a party with some friends (similar to Diablo2, yes) and when your pals are in sight, your skills would be slightly increased? I suppose this to be realistic, as you can better concentrate at your enemy with a friend you trust covering your back. Mages could cast a little faster or have a better chance to succeed, when they know who is holding the enemys away from them.
In this way, you could make the Demon parry better, so I don't hit with (any time I try), and increase his regeneration. So I shouldn't be able to kill him alone. But with 2 friends or so my fighting skill will be high enough to hit him and also there are more than one player attacking him.
This would surely improve teamwork and make it more interesting, because you know that you NEED your friends.

It's heavy enough with the group so you musn't increase the skill... but another thing, as we talked about Diablo2
I think one Idea of it can be take to Illarion:
The enemy's power should increase by the number of players online... when then 15 players are online the demon is really undefeatable for just 1...

Hello
El, I think this is a bit out of aim. If the monsters strenght depends on the number of players online, where´s the fun in challenging him with a group of only three?
You can´t take all the players with you (not to mention people you don´t like). This is NOT D2, it is a ROLE-Playing Game. As mentioned already by others, fighting is not the main purpose here (even if some people think so) - but it´s not unimportant either.
I think, we need monsters that are so mighty, that no single char can take them alone, however strong he/she is. Something like a dragon or a real demon (not the big red guy in the cave).

I totally agree with Antarion. I would like to have a monster that is really hard. But i guess that's already evident and the demon will surely get some magic powers in the near future.

well yes...
But imagine a really strong monster...
either it kills you immediately and that's no fun in a group, too, or you can stand it, but you don't hit. If both, you stay alive and hit it, you can kill it ALONE. That's the problem we have at the moment. And that's why I thought: make it impossible for ONE hero to kill the monster, that means he shouldn't hit it, but increase the chance to kill it with the number of heroes.
If you don't like the idea of increasing skills, here's another possibility: let the monster regenerate faster, than one or two heroes can do damage to him, but in this way a group of some really strong Characters is the only way to defeat it and even then it could take a long time.
another effect of the skill-increase-method is by the way: A well trained fighter with two shields on is almost impossible to hit. If now there is a great number of other palyers attacking him, he just laughs and still gets no harm. If the number of players fighting him would increase their attack skill, the chance to defeat him would be much higher. In this way a kind of "mob" would be possible.

yes i also agree with the making the monsters stronger but if u make the demon stronger then ppl will build up stats really fast b/c when i started the game i heard that the demon was really strong and that my friend couldnt beat him unless it was a large group and that a group of like 5 or 6 ppl couldnt beat him but i walked down to the cave one day just strowling around and i saw someone down there and i asked i could help and he said ya he had 2 shields on and i have a shield and a fire sword and we killed him a number of times but the demon is the stronges guy in the game right if u make the monsters stronger then say u have 15 20 ppl on and a newbie comes on he could get his ass kicked by the bats or bees or whatever they are jut saying but that is what i think

I just said: "Make SOME strong monsters"
If there were some varieties in monsters, everybody could fight them. A weaker demon AND a very strong one perhaps. Illarion has enough room for them. At the moment, you have monsters with increasing strenght, but not one really tough guy.
The need to form parties arises only, when it´s impossible for one or two chars to kill a monster. If a very strong char can beat it, there´s no need for that.
But it has to be ALWAYS that strong, cause a dragon is not more dangerous, when facing six heroes. A single fighter he would chew up, but six could mean stomach problems to him.

Gentleman,
I have seen no less than 5 new ideas recently for a new system, diffrent stronger monsters, quests, items and need for objectives.
With so much of this, the gods must see what thier people crave. I have faith they will take an appropriot course and despite how long it may take or the changes it may insue. With these ideas from everyone including yourself I hope something great comes of it.
