Re-installed client

My computer has just suffered a breakdown, which means the Illarion client was deleted. I have just finished redownloading it, but I cannot log on as any of my characters-I was thinking, that this is perhaps due to none of my characters having a folder within the client.Any suggestions as to what I should do?

You may have moved the client program (Illarion.exe) to the desktop. It needs to be opened directly from the directory in which the other files are.
You may not have extracted all the files from the zip file. Check if you really unzipped them all into the same directory, especially the .tbl files!
The client should be extracted to a new folder, as it will create some files itself.

In the zip file, you will also find a tutorial (tutorial_us.html), and a manual (manual_us.html). Read these before playing for the first time, as they explain most of the game mechanics. You can also find the newest and up to date tutorial and manual on this site.

And yes, I made sure to note these steps.

Any Error messages appeared?

There is a little problem caused when the client creates the log txt-files the first time to close the client right afterwards.
At least this happens to me from time to time.
