Well, what then? Just shurg it off and think 'Well he has probaly some valid way of coming in?'

Perhaps you are right, partially. Those all possibilities are not too absured, but just accepting that people who should not be able to do that walk in and out like a public outhouse?
That's not very productive either.
Also, I this that I have agreed that there are very reasonable ways of getting in, but it doesn't look very likely that most of people are actually using them..

Yeah, possible that he is covering someone up, or that he is trying to hide the true way he entered.. Or then he is just good oldfashioned bullshitting.

I would suggest, that the Dwarfs of Silverbrand keep an active eye on thier gates.
Dont let them be guarded by "imaginary NPCs".
If you see someone roaming your Halls, capture him, interrogate him, InCharacter of course.
If you find someones behaviour supicous, keep an eye on him.
If you think someone is bug abusing, sharing Knowleadge beetween own characters, report him.

Stay IC as long as possible, but please dont jump all out shouting "Bad RP! Bad RP!"

keikan, we have do that before.but these peoples run away, even if we have surrounded them. one time i have killed him before he was bale to reach the gates, that was after many times to catch him normal. but before i was able to write #me takes the key from the dead body" the ghost vanishes ((logged off)) and after that another dwarf walks into silverbrand. we had get this guys many times, but they don't let dirsturb their doings from that. say, what shall we do?before we are able to catch them they run away. but that isn't the proplem, the problem is that they logg of after they climbed up to the tavern or library, or they just hide in the "shadows" of the houses (that is another problem, ya cannot get someone who hides in such "shadows". hagen have tried before, he know what i mean). see, two of this dwarfes were killed by me in a fight, and i have warned them that this will happen every time we surprise them in silverbrand. but that haven't worked. they just think "ar, damn, than i will walk to a cross and come again". by the side, i have wrote ya an email before, do ya have checked this? i just wants to know if iam right or wrong with that.

many times i saw one of this guys in silverbrand, but a few seconds after i saw them, and before i was able to write something, they climbed the stairs up. i followed them, but i haven't found them their (logged of, noone can be so fast to be out of sight just after 2 seconds). than i waited at the same place where i saw them before.again he comes downstairs, again i followed him, again he was logged off before i was upstairs. good rp, huh? it isn't possible to roleplay a interrogate. before we are able to write something like "#me craps him" or something else, they run away. an other problem is, this guys are not from germany, normaly they are on in the night. but we cannot be on in the night, because we must to sleep, go to work or school at the next morning, or we have played long enough this evening or day to be on for some more hours. see, we have a normal life, and we cannot all be on for 24 hours a day (by the side, iam sure that this guys controll the "who is online"-list before they logg in, that makes it much harder for us to get them. ya see, we have a really hard stand with this.

Coal

Quote of Hendriks
so i sneaked to the mine and stay there 15 minutes, found 5 coal...so my thief thought, its not worth the time, and leave again, sneaking)

You would get MUCH more coal in 15 min with a better mining skill maybe

and of course a good miner is a good thieve too because every miner have the time to learn sneaking and hiding while he mines. right? it is a bad mannner that some charas can do everything as beneath a master.

My two cents:

1) I have no problem that Chars try to get into Silverbrand and yes there are a few RP-valid ways to enter it without being caught. The point is that i doubt looking on the "who is online"-list is one of those.

2) I do think it bad roleplay if a player attacks chars he messed up with while being on with another char. Im pretty sure that the elf 39950 attacked the tavern because of a quarrel he had with the dwarves with another char.(one of those who break into silverbrand) He used the same methods to hide in the "shadows" of buildings.

3) Roleplay means to INTERact with other chars. Even if i accept that people hide in the shadow of buildings (although i never saw a #me pointing out that the elf hid himself) i would really love to see a reaction, if i follow him, find him and type: #me grabs the elf. Any reaction. I do not have to succeed, but i want a reaction at least, instead of just running away. Another example was the dwarf (Jori or Zephyr i dont know) who was sourrounded and simply dragged himself through a gap of the lines after he insulted the dwarves. As if noone would put a blade in his way to make him stay or if four or five dwarves were too weak to hold him.
Ignoring the roleplay of others leads to the point when they are forced to stick to "technical interaction" which means kill him. And that isnt very creative roleplay from my point of view. Those who chase such chars can either make bad roleplay by letting the culprit run away without trying to stop him or have to press ctrl and leftclick on him.

4) I really feel annoyed if people tell me OOC : "I dont have to listen to you" when i want to talk to them to explain them what i wrote under point three. And , dear 39950, you cant drop a "mirror" in the bag of my char, if you do not have that item and especially if my char has drawn his balde and wants to chase you out of town, which means he pays attention to what your hands are doing. Standing in front of him wont increase your chances to do that unnoticed. I chose to ignore this "roleplay" or i would have been forced to simply attack you. Typing this kind of #me, pressing enter and run away immidiatelly, to avoid any reaction is...well...questionable. A perfect example for point number three.

i agree with hagens statement. i saw the from hagen called charakters many times roleplaying that way. be sure, if we wanted to the others have died many times, but we don't want to kill instantly and every time, we wantto roleplay. but it isn't easy to roleplay when the others walking away without response. i really don't know how many times i wrote "#me holds his axe" or "#me craps after his axe" just to show them that iam ready to attack and to show that i want to roleplay, and not simply killing (because i could have attacked immediately, but i haven't). but no response came from them, they just walk away. without any word. and hagen is right, i think the elv and the dwarfes are charakters from the same one or two players. because of that i have wrote ya an PM.

Could i at least get a reaction on the board?

Like "you are right, im sorry"
or "you are wrong, because of..."

I would love to hear what Jori/Zephyr/39950 say to this.

An Unknown dwarf sneaks thru a hole that leads to silver brand. At last his work has paid off! He walks to where the coal is at. Oh no! Two miners just spotted me! They do not recognize me! Damn I am caught, or so I thought… until I bluffed my way through. I composed myself and acted calm. Hi there I am <omitted for various reasons> I got a supply of hammers that I am supposed to give to the miners, “does any need any, really? Sure!” and voila! I gain their confidence. Now is time to get to work, all this coal for me. In the past week I have gained over (1000) coal.( which half lost because of reset server) Mwahahahaha. I can’t wait to break in to…………….............
(Beat that RP Reason to get in there because I have done it, I have actually bluffed those citizens and now I have gained enough money from it that I would not have to return in a loooong time, I will not give my name for obvious reasons, it is why I set this name up, Now, would you frown at this? I have obeyed every Rp rule. I even reacted to other people instead of run and log off before anyone could react like those Rp ruiners)

I like showing off, But I like being a free dwarf better. You should know that I, a genius mastermind, would not sink so low that I would give my plans away beforehand. See ya

~of course not signed~
P.S. Mwahahahahahaha
P.S. again: Hint: I am not new, definitly not a new dwarf in illa, I have been hear for a very long time.

Why did you make a whole new forum name? If you were really following the rules of RP, you could freely say that you broke into silverbrand without any worries. This is an OOC board, so its not like anybody will be looking for you IC.

You should be able to post under your original name, but in the past, some people have claimed to have some kind of "ESP" as a rp reason to know these things. no names mentioned there

Just react on other #me`s or try to find an explanation how you escape five dwarves that sourounded you. Then start to complain about others RP or how they cannot differentiate between IC and OOC. I still think yiu used your elven char to take revenge on the dwarves.Note: i didnt write your number down, like you obviously did to avoid the guards and i didnt "bust" you, although i had any chance to do that. If you expect other to play fairly it would be a first step to do that yourself.
