magic books

i had magic books in my inventory when i clicked on them they where the steps to magic and a beginers book and now i cant read them does this have to do with my intelleigence thanks in advance

You do not need them anymore for you can't learn any new rune without the help of an experienced mage. Therefore all magic books in inventories were deleted. Those books with new content can be found in the librarys now, but you can't take them with you.

oh ok so a master mage is requreid to learn runes

I'm a little confused here. When my character reads the first steps to magic, and the paths to magic it says that only a real mage would be able to understand the writings. The thing is, my character has much experienced with magic.

Another thing is, how would a mage technically teach another runes?

Uhm, I get the same thing when I try to read this book, I'm guessing it's the only thing written in it? Waste of paper if you ask me.

I read some of the texts, and apparently, a complex ceremony is supposed to take place...

But I'm not going to spoil anything. You can teach others runes in game, and this is mostly an in game matter.

@Falk vom Wald - I actually managed to take a book out of the library, although the others refused to go. Maybe there's a bug with the "First Steps of Magic" text?
