A skirt

Post by Zarah »

Hello all,

(Sorry, I posted this in another forum already and thought it might be better to open a new thread)

Cara and me thought about some new clothing for the fashion-conscious women of Illa ^^. So I tried to create a skirt with adobe photoshop. The only problem with the image is that there is this white slim....
Please tell me if you want to see a graphic with it embedded it the Illarion-area.

Bye, Zarah

I like it, but it looks more like a modern dress than one used long ago. Is there any way you could remove the white line from it.

I like it! I would wear it at once! And i don't think it looks too modern, they had long skirts like this.

......redoing current graphics doesn't really count as "making them". Copy and paste link in addy bar. Zarah, did you make it 2d? I don't like gif's so I don't use them much, png's and targa's are good when using the masked color.

Well, after hours of working  , here an improved version of my beloved skirt.

Image

I finally could remove the white lines.

@ Grobul
Well, of course I tried to create a certain perspective, but I didn't use a certain option called "2d" or something. It would be no problem to save the image in "*.png" but when I tried to show it here in the board my browser couldn't open it.

OK, nobody ask for it but here my opinion an why the skirt would never be usable for illarion

1.) wrong perspective (no perspective)

2.) it looks more like a towel than a skirt

3.) it looks like, the material it was made from, is plastic

4.) it looks to modern for illarion

That shouldn't sound harsh or so, its only my real opinion of it.

It looks wonderful!
I hope there are big formal dresses in it for balls and such.

The crossbow has a perspective, just not detail.

It's best that new images have perspective and that the old ones are re-made so that all the items will then be suitable. I like the dress, but I do agree it appears to be of a modern fashion rather than medieval times.

Old graphics not fitting to the new rules doesn't count as those were just collected from all possible sources when graphics were needed. They are just provisorics, and that is the reason why they will be replaced.
