Well let me try to put this to you the best way I know how. First off do not run the music of Illarion and mp3's at the same time. ( In fact it shouldnt work haha ) Second it should not lag down Illarion any but the extra memory taken to RUN the mp3's might add lag to your system. For me Im using a REALLY crappy system so I don't run ANY sound or any programs in the background to make it run faster. Hope this helps.

If you have win xp you can run illarion and alt-tab out and hit alt-ctrl-delete, click the applications tab, right click illarion and click go to process and it will tell you how much of your cpu is being used, if it is 99% then the music probobly lags you, but you can always go and see how much the mp3s take too. Accually with winamp you can run illarion and mp3 music at the same time. Don't know about quiktime, realplayer, or wmp.

Only semi related.. but... I haven't noticed much difference, from when I ran with the music on, and lately, since I don't run with the music on..

Mind you, mainly turned the music off, because it's so LOUD... I run with the sound at a certain level, for main volume, and WAV balance, and Ill's music is pretty loud for me... (I probably have a 'Boost dB' somewhere that I need to track down).... though, how easy/difficult is it to add a music volume slider? Could maybe be pulledu p by F10 or another unused function key?

Val, just burn the music to a cd, and listen to it on a CD player. If possible.
