Tired of buying coal from those dirty dwarves of Silverbrand

Post by Grant Herion »

Are you? If so then you should mine some place better and some place free. Where is this place you might ask? The ceremony cave of course, it is in the middle of the Grey Rose's castle, but since the Grey Rose didn't build it, it is not theirs completely and you should be able to mine out of it care free.
Why am I doing this? The answer is simple, I dispise the dwarves, and I hate seeing them make so much money off of a needed resource, so, this is just another attempt of mine to make the dwarves that much poorer.

Grant Herion

Grant signs it with a confident smile, he had gotten his revenge on the dwarves and on the orc all in a 20 minute period. A nice little victory for a follower of the god of revenge.

Are you mad to mine and destroy the ceremony cave? You can not just dig there for coal, it is build to worship the gods and not to dig for coal just because you hate us dwarves for having coal.
And as you may know we did not steal the coal from the surface it happend because of the drought that the coal can only be found in Silverbrand.

May the gods especially Irmorom punish you for that!

Hm, of course a dwarf of Silverbrand wouldn't want us to mine our coal and of course they will use any reason they possibly can. Considering there is a workshop in the ceremony and you don't cut through the plants on the ground, only the rocks.... I do not see a problem of any kind. Either way, Allerus told me of another mine that was another place above ground instead of below it, once I find out where it is I shall tell you all.

You see that there is a gemcutter and a anvil. Why would they be there if you coul not mine there. Who would go all they way down there to cut gems or smith.

Grant you are a known enemy of the grey rose, and you expect to go INTO there building and mine? and Where is your honor, mining in a holy area!?

now that I think of it, whos side are you really on grant? You constantly say that Lyrenzia rules trolls bane, It is obvouis that you hate Lyrenzia so why should you you be allowed into Trolls bane. Your Defeintly not a citizen of Greenbriar and I would sooner die than see you become one. When you get into a bit of trouble Darlok tells the town that your not a citizen of Northrot. You seem to have left this Herion that you were once prince of. So what are you on this isle just a drifter who considers himself a citizen of the entire isle. Why not go back to this Herion you so constantly say you are prince of. Perhaps your honorless ways are wanted there.

How is it mining a holy area? If you consider that a holy area, then the Dwarves are mining a holy area as well. Which is also wrong. They mine NEAR their little shrine, CLOSE but not in it. Likewise that area is CLOSE, but not really IN the holy area. If someone was mining under the alter then you could say that, but it is no holy area.

The cave is the holy area, mean it if you wish, but prepare your answers for the gods.

I agree with Fooser, If you do mine stay near the ladder though, or somewhere far away as possible. I believe the shrin begins right where the stones are. It acts as a bit of a boundry. If not then isn't this whole land holy.

How am I a known enemy of the Grey Rose? They haven't said "We are coming for you Grant Herion". Little hobbits shouldn't spread lies. And why do I have to belong to anyone? Little Pronon, you have been spending to much time with little Brendan and have thoughts of fighting and starting conflicts.
Think about this Pronon, what do you accomplish by insulting me and trying to smear me with lies and accusations? What do you gain or what does anyone gain by it? It does nothing but waste paper and coal.
Grow up a bit little hobbit before you try and compete in wits and insults with the men.

How can anyone dare to foul a shrine of the Gods again? Don't you remember what happened when your greed made you cut down the trees at the Ushara shrine? Do you want the Gods to be angry at us again?
If I ever meet someone inside the ceremony cave with the intend of digging for coal there I will remove this individual.

PS: The ceremony cave is not property of the Grey Rose and has never been so. The fact that we build the castle there is just because we wanted to have it as close at the shrine of Malachín as possible.

The Hooded One prepares a small letter, seals the envelope, and writes on it:

To: Grant Herion
From: Konstantin
A Complete Chart of Coal Mines

He whistles into the sky, and his hawk, who was just hunting for young rabbits, comes down and lands on his hand. He pets him, lovingly.

-Dermott, find Grant Herion, gray hair, red coat, you know him. Give this to him. Go, go.

Konstantin lets go of the letter, and the loyal bird launches up into the air, swinging his fine broad wings.

Knowledge is something to learn. Why should I share knowledge?
Information is worth more then money, more then anything.
Otherwise its like stealing. I will tell you where to get precious stones and coal, and then you will sell them to me for money...

Learning without thinking is labor loss
Thinking without learning is perilous...

You should share it to help the community, stop thinking about yourself all the time and think of others. If any one asks me about a location of something, I gladly tell them if I know.

Scar collecting is overdone. Burnt flesh tell the best stories of your learning days, however. At least, it's a method that remains optimum compared to never raising a wand or weapon at all.

Making people look into pictures of Elaralith for long periods of time usually does the trick.

Did you paint some? That way i´d understand why you say that they are ugly. Never ever a human could catch the beauty of an Elf in his paintings.

Especially not you, simple minded Paul.

Its hard to catch the beauty of Elaralith at all. The last person I know who did was blind. And I laugh at you calling me simpleminded, but I consider it a challenge.

((Just because you don't like her, doesn't mean her in game appearance is ugly. Elves are known for their beauty, Paul...))
