Poll for the Amerika Meeting

Post by Galdriel »

If you come from Alaska or Mexiko or somewhere else, write so.
The Poll does not allow that many Options.

I live in SD.

So does Crosis.

And a few other players.

Good thing we're winning so far, eh?

Seriously though, I would be curious as to know if only players are going, or if there are going to be a few important others such as GMs? However, I'm assuming there's even going to be a U.S meeting.

Yep, I live in boring ole SD.

Only one GM lives in the US right now, so the chances are slim that there would be a GM there.

I live in Central New Jersey.

@ Anlan Erson Not me, but I have gone to Denver and Vail to go skiing at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Keystone. The snow is awesome there!!! We got into a huge sudden snowstorm in the middle of the highway. We had this crappy rented Toyota Camry, and it was skidding all over the place. We even crashed into the guardrail. Fortunately, there was enough snow on our bumper and the guardrail that no damage was done. If we had be on that highway an hour later, it would have been closed. Even through all that, I still enjoyed my trip there!

Why would you want to have a meeting in the midwest? Wouldn't you want something a little more... tropical? 8)

If this meeting did take place in New York, I don't know for sure if it would be delayed because of you. I'm sure we all have times that are good for us, and times that are bad. Looking at this poll, it looks like the meeting won't be held in New York. I'm sure it is possible though. ;)

I think that we should all decide a final place for this meeting. Most people seem to live in the Northcentral area, but can anyone travel out of state to attend this meeting?

Maybe we could have one meeting in each sector of the country, and use videoconferencing equipment? We can then chat with everyone...but, the equipment is expensive.

I think that we shouldn't have a poll in this sense, but should do it where everyone sends a PM to someone else running the poll, because with this, anyone could just multi-vote so that the meeting will be in their region.

Whoever does that, will have the effect that few people will come to that meeting, and it will get more expensive from this. So that would be cutting ones own arm...

Sorry guys, you will never find a place or time, good enough for everybody to join. You do not need a poll, you need smoeone who says: Well, I organize the first meeting, it will be: ...here and there and ... now and then... , and here is the place where you can announce....

Maybe there will only be five gamers, but they will report and show their pictures, and another will organize another meeting somewhere else wth eight or ten....

We wouldn't be able to organize a European Meeting for there would be the same problem as you have in the states.
