suggestion about the signature

Post by Valdonyr Alkidor »

i know why the signature has been disabled... they told me... i have a suggestion
do NOT make it a character limit of 255 !!
make a limit of FOR EXAMPLE 50 Characters, and people wont be able to write a lot of shi* in their signatures, and even maKe restriction if they do to banning, like you do in illarion itself..
well i do not wish the GMs to get angry or think i want to piss them off or anything of that stuff, if you think a signature is still a bad idea, then ok, forget it and ignore this... know what i mean...

Sincerely Yours,

well you know
sometimes instead of writing my name in green and some text like "Yours Sincerely", i could just tick the box of the signature
thats all

Shouldn't this post be in the Proposals Section?

I am sure if they feel the thread is constructive enough it will be moved. I like the idea of having signatures at the bottom of the post as a seperate box. (As was the pre forum format. ) I like the way that you used to be able to have a little quote or signature or even a very small image link that complimented your characters nature and persona. It just adds that little bit extra to your characters individuality and its nice I find when I read a witty or thought provoking quote or saying.

Bah, don't be lazy. Just type your signature, it doesn't take long.

And it was fun to find the best quote that goes with your character or to make the best title for your character or something. It just made reading the boards a little more interesting.

if people want to see your name, they can just look at your user name on the left. anything else is useless and annoying.

Actually I think bringing the signatures back would be a bad idea. Or atleast on the Ingame Boards. If you want to sign your post you can. But if you want to hide your identity you can. Get notepad and Copy/Paste you signature in whenever you need to. Or just type it out.

yes hiding your identity would be great, but there are too many cowards outside there that would start hiding their identity for every post that takes risk
anyway ... i think hiding your identity is always a result of cowardice !!
