A German Translator

Post by Glosin Ironstar »

I think this is a good idea. Like if your english you click on your flag than all the words are translated to english. Or same thing if your german.

Nice idea, then everyone could contribute to it. I know you can go on a live translator site, I do sometimes but then everyesle has to to read yours.

Its not about being lazy or not. If its not that hard to put one on here why not. Its an annoyance that could be taken care of. :x

William,
why should we put a translator routine (dont even know if there is a FreeSoft routine aviable) on this website/board when there are already dozens of good, trusted and tested translators out in the web?

Thats too little effect for the afford.

And not wanting to click a single link is being lazy in my eyes.

By the way, you choosed a horrific last name.

Actually its not.

English players are in the minority here, This game was German made, not English made.

The Germans should ask for an English translater, not the other way around.

Simple solutions:

Click the link

Learn German

Well I would use the freetranslator sites alot.....but when you minimize the illarion window after a little bit it shuts off your game. Maybe a little translator button that minimizes illarion then brings you strait to the freetranslation site?

Get a German-English dictionary. Then you can look up some of the words and get the general meaning of what they're trying to say. I do this sometimes.

For Translation in game: Why don't you search someone who speaks both languages IG and can translate for you? I think this also would be good RP. I don't think they had electronic translaters at that time.

Good point Carah, because there are a lot of people who speak both languages, even tho it may not perfect but understandable.

I suggest making a sort of vocab list, I play a merchant and being able to speak german opens up a whole new line of customers so knowing how to say buying/selling , need, item names, simple things like I,you, what, how many, for, per, things like this.
