Safety of Trollsbane

Post by Xerake »

Dear Dwellers of Trollsbane,

After recently returning, I have noticed that the security of Trollsbane is somewhat...questionable. No, I'm not speaking of the usual pyromaniacs that pranced around town as of before, I'm speaking of figures involved in shady affairs, and subjecting the townsfolk to needless harm.

One night, I was walking from the south into the gate to deliver a shipment of swords taken from a group of undead that attacked me. When I arrived above the tavern, a man in a cloak was attempting to extort information from an innocent, Viola Thistle. He raised the blade from its sheath slightly, which I considered a threat. After he let Viola go, he spoke of vague topics of revenge against a Duke of some kind. He smirked, then told us "he'll be around." Unsurprisingly, this event occurred under the shadow of night.

Since I associated myself with the Rangers, I felt a desire to keep Trollsbane a safe place once again. The town is slowly but surely becoming littered with lawless men from the wilderness or beyond.

I propose that anybody able to bear a sword takes it with him anytime he can, and keeps it close. Unfortunately, Trollsbane seems to be in a state of political struggle, and these are dire times. We MUST pay attention to the welfare of the citizens, before anything!

Yours truly,
-X

I agree. We need to stop these people who bring fear to innocent people. As I went to go gather my crops, I saw that someone had set them on fire. Nobody at the time was around, so I made an attempt to grab myself an apple but I could not reach it. I made a visit to the pigs to collect some ham and luckily I did not go hungry.

The day before an orc was stepping on my crops. I told him to stop, and he said he'd kill me. A human nearby quickly handed me a sword, but it was too heavy. I ran far away deep into the southern forest to hide. When the skies become black, it began to rain. I wanted to head for town but fear of the orc kept me from doing so. I did not get much rest that night.

I propose instead of everyone carrying blades, and the misunderstandings therein

That Instead to impose weapon binding inside the walls of trollsbane would reduce these encounters.

Dear anonymous one,

My idea isn't intended for originality, it's an urge by me for the citizens to pay closer attention. Might I suggest you pay attention to the subject at hand, next time?

On a further note, yes, I am now a citizen of Northerot. There is nothing wrong with me wanting to protect both civilizations, so I refuse to stand by as people see my opinions as contradictory, which they are not.
