1) The dye made from tree bark is grey (it says grey dye and it looks grey), but it makes yellow cloth ....

2) More importantly, when you fail making the dye with the bark, you lose your bucket as well. I went through a few buckets already trying to do this ...

It is broken, I guess I wasn't clear about that. The staff is gone, there is NOTHING in either of my hands - I can pick up one-handed items in my left hand (such as a sword) but nothing in my right - and I cannot pick up a staff.

So, I guess I need a GM to ... remove it? Even though it isn't there.
