Yes, now instead of newbies throwing ice bolts all over the place, we have newbies that aren't able to learn any offensive spells whatsoever, so they become demonkillers in a week whereas I've been playing for a year and a half and still have trouble fighting skeletons...

So master mages can stop appearing all the time? Surely, there's a better way than making it where the newbies can't even learn a single spell where the semi-older players get free reign.

Actually, I'm experiencing the exact same thing. I'm guessing it was a bug that came when the server reseted recently.

In any case, it's best to report this to bugs@illarion.org.

Dear Denizens of Silverbrand -

Might I request to attend the celebration? I cannot honestly say I am a good friend of His Lordship, though I have spoken to him in the great hall recently. It's a matter of a magical item that he let me borrow a short time ago.

Newbies; Not Accepted Yet?

Before you complain that you have not been accepted yet (or just plain wasn't accepted) please read below. I'm sure many of you heard about Illarion from different sources; friends, family, somebody you just talked to, or you just happened to find it while using a search engine (at least, that's how...

I agree with Gro'bul on this one. Implement the training dummies, but it's nothing to get experience out of; just something to do when you're bored, if you roleplay everything.

Well, I wouldn't go as far as taking the fighting skills out, though it may sound nice...however, anybody that wanted to roleplay as a swordsman can always say "I'm a master swordsman," though they can't back it up well. But I think these days, too many people are concerned about becoming ...

Might I suggest the Grey Rose reconsiders this seemingly brash decision? The island and those living on it now have a chance to taste the joy of happiness, with this terrible drought ending. Also, more than enough blood has been spilled on Darlok's account in demand to the making of Northerlot. The ...

But Zare, do you think people in real life were only allowed to live their real life for a few hours a day, and press a magical key called "escape" to go who knows where at the same time people are about to sell something? Sheesh, realism is nice, but to a certain point. The board issue is...

A good point as well. Although, you can't gain parry from a non moving target, it would help because of the major jumping gap you have to make from fighting skeletons, to ogres, to demons.

This is unfortunate, but yes, your character still exists; that's something to be happy about.

And remember, we are merely testers of an online game, it's far from completion. Try to make suggestions that benefit roleplaying, and not so much for individual characters.

A good idea, but it has a fault. Your attributes determine how hard, fast, and accurate your attacks are. Your fighting skills must come from experience, from a living thing attacking you. The tricks and tips are learned with thought and time, not experience.

I've considered that, but we still have hobbits killing demon skeletons, beholders, and spiders with no problem. Maybe the monsters in the spider cave should be made to be more difficult? Not make it impossible for a halfling to win against them, but make it to where it's at least a challenge.

@Grant - I took the liberty of editing the message just a little bit before you mentioned that point, as I thought about it myself. But when you're four feet tall, monsters would be a lot larger and it would take a lot more effort to take down such creatures. @Hone - It is an in game problem that th...

Agreed; for bugs, write to that e-mail.

Most graphical or "inability" bugs are cured by simply cntrl+dragging your character; a simple solution for those who are awaiting the fixing of the bug in the future.

There's a very large difference between standing up for you or your race and hacking at somebody with oversized weapons and armor for an insult. Defend yourself as a halfling would, not an orc. The "we must show the world we're not weak" excuse is getting very old and dry. It does not mean...

I see hobbits as enjoyers of life. They love food, they practice recreational activities such as farming, hunting, tailoring, and other practices. They can do that an entire day, or fish with a friend. Just because they can't be mini-orcs doesn't mean they have nothing to do. With any of those trade...

You're all crazy. Muten Roshi isn't a demigod or full god, he's just skilled in combat. If you really want a demigod, go for Darlok; he has the power to raise the dead, and he's a more skilled swordsman.
