Character file

a couple of years ago i formated my hard drive and afterwards I noticed I hadnt backed up my illarion files. I was wondering what happens when this file is deleted, because since then ive never been able to log in
Are the characters saved on teh server or on my comp only?

Characters are saved on server side.

Except the names your character's know and explored areas on the minimap.

does that mean i can log into a character after the files have been deleted?

You have to download the client. Without it, Illarion doesn't work.
If you haven't got an accepted account for Illarion, you than need to get your former char accepted. If he is accepted, you can log in to play, if you allready knew your old password.
