Attention!

Post by Grant Herion »

Attention all men and women on this island,

If you are a loyal Lyrenzian citizen and do not care for their complete dominance of the island, then do not read the following. But if you want to stay independent and wish to belong to no government then read on.

You may have read that Silverbrand has declared war upon Northerot for the following crimes: Demon worshipping, attacking the town and stealing land. Now, Silverbrand has declared war upon the Movement for the same crimes, now doesn't this seem a bit odd?
How could the Movement have possibly stolen any land when it has not had any land to begin with. When did the Movement ever attack the town? Infact, weren't there five movement members, including myself, who fought to keep the town safe against the orc hoard? Who in the movement has ever worshipped Demons?
How can this war be possibly justified under such reasons? Why would Tialdin, King of Silverbrand declare war on Northerot and it's enemy the Movement? Why fight a war on two fronts?
----

Land. King Tialdin wants the land of Northerot. He wants more power. That is why he calls it 'theft of land', he believes he owns it. And why would he war with the Movement? Because the Movement is the only other guild that wants to conquer Northerot besides Tialdin. Tialdin can defeat two birds at one time with this war and seem like a hero.
And my friends, what do you think will happen when Tialdin crushes the Northerot citizens and the Movement soldiers? Tialdin will rule Northerot, which in turn would make Northerot Lyrenzian territory.
My friends Lyrenzia would rule the whole island not just the town! Where would you go when they rule everything and you do not wish to be ruled?
Tialdin wants Lyrenzia to become a government, he wants it to be a government and he wants to be on the top of it all.
If no one comes to the aid of the Movement or Northerot, then Tialdin will conquer Northerot, and Lyrenzia will have rule over the whole island and no one will be able to overthrow their yolk.

CALL TO ARMS IS NOW! IF YOU EVER HAD COURAGE TO FIGHT BUT DID NOT BELIEVE IT WAS THE RIGHT TIME, NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME! CALL TO ARMS!

Um, I dont know this whole story or anything, but I found a flaw in your statement, and I know Im not the brightest person out there but well Ill let you read what you said for yourself
How could the Movement have possibly stolen any land when it has not had any land to begin with.
Um the theft of land doesnt require land to be had in the first place. If it does Im sorry for wasting the parchment.

Yes, it is showing that Silverbrand or I should Tialdin, since i am fairly sure not all dwarves approve of this foolish war, has no legitimate reason to war against the Movement.

True....but we have not stolen anything and that is none. If Tialdin can fake that then he is the best liar ever...which I don't doubt

I think what he meant was how can they be accused of stealing land when they never possessed any?

Arrr. some guys never will learn it. First, King Tialdin have no interests in ruling northerot. we have silverbrand, and we are happy with that. what shall we do with some land on the other site of the isle which is at the surface? second, ya movement guys weren't blamed for the same crimes. ya crimes and northerot crimes were just wrote down together. movement is blamed for attack on dwarves of silverbrand, attack and fight on the town and with the guards of the town trolls bane, causing trouble in town. and many of ya members are blamed for other crimes. fooser, he is banned from silverbrand because of his crimes. and he done many crimes in trolls bane. ya, was once the right hand of darlok. just because ya are now his enemy don't means that ya haven't the same goals like in the past. kale orton is a wellknown murderer. gortlock, once one of ya members, was banned from silverbrand because of his try to attack and intrude it togehter with ashburg. by the side, ya are trying to get the land which darlok have stolen. that means ya will once earn the land which was stolen. ya understand? and don't say movement haven't attacked trolls bane. i was at many fights against ya because of ya invades into trolls bane area. oh, and of course ya are and was and will be never an enemy of lyrenzia, huh?

The point is no one can steal land if they fight for it. Tialdin thinks that Darlok took more land that he allowed....such as the ogres, but in reality tialdin is just wants the ogres! He doesn't want to free for every body, just for himself. And the movement has a just cause for war...the clan doesn't

Incorrect Galim, do not propagandize, we have never attacked the town. We have defended ourselves when Hagen decided he could kick us out the night Darlok came for us. I found it an odd coincidence that they happened on the same day, but that isn't the point.
The point is, Tialdin does want land. More land equals more power. For you to believe Tialdin just wants to kill Darlok is simply stupidity. You never go to war for as useless a reason as that. It costs lives and costs money to war, Tialdin wants more land so he rules more. Simply put.

It is more complicated....we think Darlok is a dicator and should be taken out....Grant has his reasons. your analogies are weak

It also seems as if lyrenzia/tialdin wants attention. It was a very silent time these past weaks, and we are trying to stay out of trollsbane...so you declare war on us to have another reason to attack, or be noticed.

I am not saying Darlok stole land. Infact, I would say he didn't, no one actually owned that land, so, it was free for the taking. However, I will not let this parchment lose it's direction like so many others. This will not become a topic about why I shouldn't rule Northerot or why I should.
The point is Tialdin wants land and if he defeats the Movement and Northerot, then he/Lyrenzia will rule the whole damn island. And where will you go then?

Darlok is said to have stolen the Northrot land. But even if the movement stole it from him that would still be theft because it is still theiving even if you steal from a theif. Although in this case he stole it back. So wouldnt that still make the Movement people stealing land?

uhm, tialdin wants ogres? for what? working in the mines?

Grant. ya HAVE attacked town. ya all were banned from town. but entered it, and caused fights. that ARE attacks. each fool can understand that. there were a half a dozen fights with movement inside of trolls bane because they entered town. the last one was the fight in the shop. after ya and ya movementguys entered town again and walked into the shop. and don't left it without force.

and the last time, tialdin don't wnat the land to rule it. that is foolish. but iam sure ya, the human from thes urface, know that better. har har.

Haven't any of you seen Northrot? Its mostly rock, there are many apexes of ore and gems, not to mention the large iron ore mine a little southwest of the castle. What would a dwarf king want more than gems, gold, and iron? Nothing.

If you do not want the land, then why war against Northerot? WE have stayed out of the town for weeks per your request.

Sorry if I seem to be trying to change the subject. I was just trying to figure out that if you did do what Tialdin said that would make his war or something justified. Also I was wondering why would Tialdin want land? I mean I have been down to the dwarf city, though never in it, and it seems that he has a whole entire underground at his disposal. The only thing I could think of the dwarfs wanting Northrot for is to get wood or something. But that doesnt make any sence either because their are larger forests closer by.

perhaps because darlok declared war against us first? perhaps he attacked me and others in the demoncave and gave us the word "war" as a reason?perhaps because of THAT? it was darlok who declared war first. we have our own coal, we will start for our own ore. and we have gems too. well. at the moment. and if we want coal or ore, we would go to the others mines. and not the the one in northerot. we have no interests in that.

Grant, sorry, but are ya a fool? please count until 3. i just want to see if ya can still do that. YA are BANNEd from town. but ENTERS it and don't respect the bann. ya DON't leave after the guards say leave. if the attack ya because of that ya SARTED and caused the attack.

He wants more! That is that....when you have alot you want more...you don't value things as much. It is unjustified...who worships demons? Are we blasphemic? Who ever doesn't worship Irmorom is blasphemic to them

Well Like I said before I dont know everything thats going on so Grant, thats the name right?, could very well be right. But I have talked to a few dwarfs on my two days on the island and the only problem I can see them having is to few dwarvesses and to many dwarves.

Ar, AGAIN. not Ya worhsipped demons. Darlok done it. and who knows if grant haven't done it too while he was darloks boot licker.

We have more coal in our mines than ya have in northerot. and as soon as we find our new ironvein, we will have enough iron.

why should we walk up to the north and around the desert to mine in an foreign mine? we have our own mine. and we have no problems with the ogre. we dwarves working together.

If they attack I start it? Then if you attack me I start it? WHy should I take orders from a organization that has been around for only a couple of months? Why does this police force have power when others didnt have any such power.
Who gave them this power to ban for their own purposes?
Also, the ban was ment to be lifted after the war with Darlok and the Movement was over. But I guess the town guard only believe that keeping honor is for when it helps them most, they do not believe in keeping their word now do they?
And that is all I will write about the Town Guard.

As for Tialdin, to believe he will spend lives simply to kill Darlok and then leave Northerot leaderless is stupidity. To believe The Grey Rose will help to kill Darlok and leave Northerot leaderless is simply idiocy.
Tialdin wants land for more power.

I find it interesting that the King does not ask for prisoners. All member of the movement and all citizens of Northerot are to be executed on sight. So nice. Attacking unarmed peasents. So sad that the entire island has decided to back them up. This island is nothing more than a brewing pot of hatred and the hunger for blood.

Secondly Galim, it is not about you the dwarf citizen, it is about Tialdin. Tialdin is looking out for himself. He would not share his power with you now would he. He wouldn't ever share his power, or cut it in half. No, not with a regular dwarf citizen. HE could care less about the soldiers that are going to die in this war. He is looking for more power.
