what the hell are these oil lamps 4 that i keep finding in the river? can some one clue me in?

They have no purpose at this time. They are useless.
That means you should give them all to me. I collect them.

Well...if you use them they get hot and red (If I remember right)...but thats the only thing they do.

if you rub them for ages they begins to glow slightly, perhaps if you rub them for long enough a genie pops out and grants you three wishes.
