Character Models...

I know this cant be a fun topic, but is there any way character models will be made more custom? Its so confusing... I was hoping for a system either like many online RPGs, where the items show up on your character when equipped, or at least something like Diablo IIs, which is like that, but similar... I think that everyone will agree that its rather confusing, the way characters look now. Especially your first couple of nights. Maybe take it slow, first just show the weapons, then maybe do the armor (just main part, or have that Diablo II way of showing it...), then maybe the helmets? It would probably help everyone a lot, plus show if someone's well-outfitted, or if they're relatively new, and all that other stuff.

That would take thousands of image modeling to do that.

They graphic makers dont get paid. However, if you want to do modeling of armors and such, and your good at it, and they like it, they would happily install it into the client.

If the game was 3D it would be easier but cos it's 2D it means having 1 set of animations for walking, etc for every combination of weapon and armour, so... good luck to whoever tries that!

Looking down the proposalforum, you will find much more topics about seeing what you wear.
There you can find more words, why it is hard to implement this and other ideas for solutions.
Have a good look.

Well I was thinking that it would take a lot of people to do this... that's why I was thinking that maybe they could go out and ask for volunteers and everything... like us... and the Diablo II system of stuff showing up wouldnt be TOO hard to do... It wouldnt be easy, but it wouldnt be needlessly complicated, either.
