Hello everyone! I would just like to say I LOVE THIS GAME!! (and i havent even played it yet). But if I have been reading correctly, this is the "Game of my dreams".

I have looked everywhere for a game such as this, for many years now. the closest I came to it was *shudders* Runescape. And that fell far short of my expectations. Please allow me get my excitement out of my system, and expend that energy on typing.

Long ago, I read a book (name I can't remember) and the subplot had a lot to do with this online game. It was a game that you could fully emerse yourself in, and become your character. You could do almost anything (it was medieval based) and everyone (this is important!) EVERYONE, was in-character. It was as if you took a trip into another world, completely forgetting about the real one and becoming your character.

It captivated me. Imagine?! A magical place, whince you can go to whenever you would like. Full of adventure, danger, and friendship? Almost like taking a machine back in time, but altering it to include other species, incredible animals, magic and quests!

After a long....LONG, tedious search, I believe my quest has come to an end...and a new beginning. I've finally reached my dream...Illarion!

While I patiently await a message from the creators of this wonderful place (to test my quite advanced RPing skills I'd guess), I eagerly search through the forums for information, to better prepare my character for the rigors/fun of Illarion.

However, be reminded that Jet Black is a name from Cowboy Bebop, and may not be accepted by them. (But if your in game name is different, and doesn't break a name rule, it's fine)

ah, i figured my name would bring me problems. Though i may point out that I made up the name on my own, and coincidently became a bebop fan later. That is allright though, I have a name tucked away for such an occasion: Myst Croshof.
I do have a question though, since Jet Black is the name I sent for my character, do I send another one? or wait for the first one to be rejected?

I guess it is already rejected, it doesn't fit the game nor the name rules and you won't get an e-mail telling you you were rejected because of the name. Just create another character, with another name and send another request, if you get an e-mail with two question in it, you know the name is good enough for the game...

I am also extremely patient, and have no problems waiting a year if I had to, for a chance to play this game.

Your second name though, may not be accepted either. Myst, was a game, if I remember correctly. The last name is fine. Perhaps if you changed Myst to Merysta, or something along those lines-just alter it a bit.

well, i really hope myst gets accepted, the name has some history with me. I write, and the first name for the main character I ever used was Myst Croshof. And yes I have heard of a game named myst, but the name has no relationship to it.

I'd much rather having a name I'm familiar with, It helps me rp, But if I must I will make a different one. All my names are completely original, Myst Croshof is actually kinda like my name, with a few letters changed and added.

Ah well, I'll do anything for this game, It is my destiny... I can feel it.

Guess I'll wait about a week, then if i dont get any email, il try again under a different name. I dont want to lose this one without trying.

Myst is an awful lot like Mist.

yes be careful about names they are picky spend a lot of time thinking about a good name or go to a name generator

After much consideration, I have come to what I believe would be a suitable name, for both I and Illarion. (#me Grins)

Jeth Croshof

I see no problems out of all the examples that were given on other boards. It's familiar to me, if someone says: Hello Jeth, I'll know they're speaking to me. This will be the final decision on my name (unless I hear a reason otherwise, and of course if I am not accepted)

Well, I just hope your not an Orc with that name. I doubt I could ever talk to an Orc named Jeth and not giggle.

I know this may hurt your funnybone, but I can tell you this:

No I'm not an orc. I'm human.

I think Illarion needs some more dwarf females, orc females......darn humans and their quick reproduction....perhaps Ark needs to start sterilizing them all systematically

I'm so glad I am an elf Arkadia, I hate to be sterilized.

I hope, you will make it through the account procedure, and I think your chances have increased tremendiously with your last choise of name.

Take your time to get some information about Illarion while you are waiting. This site provides you with a lot of resources. Don't expect too much though, as this game is still in alpha.
