Greetings and name check-up

Greetings.

I have emailed an introductory letter to accounts@illarion.org , and received a reply from the team very quickly. I was advised to look around the site and the Board, so I did.
While many names get rejected for unoriginality or unappropriate spelling, I would like to check before actually creating a character or an account request.

My dwarf character's name will be Trogan Darafin Wolfwood, but I wouldn't like his friends or anyone common to call him always by his full name and last name, but simply Trogan, or Wolfwood for shortness.
I want to ask whether I can name the character just Trogan or just Wolfwood, and then add the full name ingame?

Will any of these versions be accepted?

Trogan
Trogan Darafin
Wolfwood

If approved in this post, I will create my character and apply.
Thank you.

Use the full name. People won't use it anyway, just out of lazyness...
No, seriously, use the full name when creating the character. People ingame will have to call you by the name you introduce to them, as this is the only name their chars can know. (You don't have a name sign sticked on your chest, have you?)

Thank you.
Did as you advised.

But after the character was created using the client, five minutes later I tried to use the Account Request form to request this character, and typed in everything exactly correct - name, password, email address.
However, this error was displayed:

Mistake!

Character name, password and email address must be the same like the data you used at the creation of your char with the client!

I am certain I did not misspell anything. Does it take some time before character is recognized? Thank you.

There is no character with the name "Trogan Wolfwood", thats why you cannot request this character.

So you must have done something wrong when you created a character with the client. Create a new character with the client and make sure you spell everything correctly.

Alright. Done.

Created a character Trogan Darafin using the client.
Said: character created.

Now, trying to request an account via Account Request form - still the same mistake.

Do I have to create an account on the Board by name Trogan Darafin for the form to work? It says my email address is already taken (yes, it is, by this account).

I can find this character, however looking on your Password tells me that it has overlenght.

I have shorten it, use the first 7 letters of it.

You should really put a note on the homepage that passwords mustn't be longer then nine characters...

Thank you. Yes, that was the problem.
My password was over 7 letters in length.

Use full Firstname and Surname

Question on the above, I created a char and submitted a request, however, I only used a firstname(same as forum name), in the above post the moderator advised to use the full name. Should I create a new character and send another request, and if yes, will this delay recieving the email with the quesitons to answer?

Thanks.

First, I'm no moderator, just a generally helpful guy ;)

It was an adwise to use the full name. It's the name that people will see ingame and in my opinion it's easier to remember an abreviation or nickname then missing parts of a name, especially of quite complicated ones.
However, if your family name isn't used in general you can skip it.
