Greenbriar announcement

Posted: Fri Jan 30, 2004 2:19 am
by Crosis
Today I came to Greenbriar and found the bridge on fire. I also over heard a human telling Fooser to cast flames, so they could burn someone. I acted quickly and chased them away with some spells. The only damage I seen, was done to the bridge.

Fooser is a movement member, and his kind are not welcome in our town. So I announce this:
All movement members are banned from Greenbriar.

not long and they won't have any place on the isle where they are welcome. i wonder how long it will take that they understand what they are doing false. perhaps they will understand one day that not many guys like their behaviour.

It sounds more like this Fooser is just doing all these things and you're using him as a scapegoat of a reason for banning a group everyone else is for very little reason. Every topic concerning the banning of the Movement has contained Fooser as some prime reason. Strange how one man can be the result of banning a whole group. What peace is this when we do not try to protect it by singling out the criminals? What peace is this when we ban whole groups associated with only one person? This is not peace, this is discriminate dictation of people who do not share exact views with you.

Fooser is a member of the movement, and as a member he represent them. it is the problem of the movement if they tolerate such guys in their own rows. perhaps Grand should be more strict with them. members with such behaviors are not good for an organisation, group or guild like Grant ones.

I could say the same about the corrupt hierarchy known as the Lyrenzia Foundation, but it would be considered slanderous. Yet here you are, slandering an entire guild. How childish. Lyrenzia's people believe they are better than everyone else and this child's play is proof of such.

The movement is waging war. Like I said, we don't want that in Greenbriar. They are lucky they haven't been banned sooner!

They are lucky they haven't been banned sooner? As if they should thank their respective gods that you didn't ban them without reason before, when now you ban them with hardly any viable excuse? I laugh at your pompous comment as it is both absurd and disturbing. They never waged war on your land. Fooser just acted foolishly.

Think as you want. Grant has kidnapped a member in the past. Fooser and Rynt have harassed my pregnant wife, and some of the members are just known criminals. Not to mention the war they are fighting. Now today our town is cast to flames. In my eyes, that is reason enough.

If this is such a problem, fight back. If you want peace, build your walls higher, fortify yourselves. It really is not so difficult to avoid problems such as this. Banning does not mean anything. They will enter as they please unless you have force to prevent it. The war isn't against you, so that isn't even a viable excuse. About Fooser and Rynt, I doubt your wife has come to any real harm or struggle, else you would have actually acted instead of sitting back for a long time until other guilds and organizations started the banning. Fooser and Rynt have also been known for their buffoon-like actions. You have yet to name how the guild as a whole has defiled you so. You've listed a few bad apples out of a large group. Using this logic, would you say that you would remove the whole human race if you saw a small minority of humans doing bad things? Because this is exactly the same idea. How coincidental it must be that these past events come up as excuses at the same time everyone decides to follow Lyrenzia in banning a guild.

sorry, but i never read so much foolish words before at this wall. anon, ya should think before ya write.

first, that was the first time movement was banned because of fooser behaviour. fooser was banned before frim trolls bane and silverbrand, but just he alone. the movement was banned from trolls bane because of their fight with darlok on the streets of trolls bane.

second ya said that it is better to build huge walls and to build a better defens than ban the criminals. ya said it is better to fight back to keep the peace. that is foolish. with ya words ya want to say that greenbriar should declare war against movement. is this what ya want?

third, fooser, and the other human, have brought their war to greenbriar. and that as members of movement. because of that movement was banned. they have no rights to fight their war on the area of greenbriar, silverbrand or trolls bane. it is their war and they should play their damn games in northerot or some else, but not at peacefull places where they are not wanted.

fourth. between members of a race and members of a guild is a huge difference. and alone this shows us that ya are not able to use the brain the gods have given ya.

fifth. ya wrote
How coincidental it must be that these past events come up as excuses at the same time everyone decides to follow Lyrenzia in banning a guild.
well, so ya think that everyone who isn't in the movements are against them? well, that should give ya something to think about it.

sixth. the ban is the first step of their selfdefens. it is a warning to the others. that will show them that their actings are not tolerated anymore. after this, if they don't respect what the leaders and citizens of a area wants they will be get forced by weapons.

and last but not least, who are ya? what gives ya the right to talk about this topic? what gives ya the right to criticze the desicions of the halfings of greenbriar? are ya a member of them? if not ya have no rights. are ya a member of silverbrand? or trolls bane? or a member of the movement? what gives ya the right to critisize the desicion of a town which is tolerated by their citizens?

This is pathetic your blaming us for fooser foolish actions. How did he take the war to your pleace UNLESS he was fighting darlok or zerbus at your pkace then he did not take the war to your land he brought in a personal problem, why ban a enitre guild for a personal problem fooser has, take care of him,and not all of us I myself like halfling and think they are a important part of our trade, etc...

Looks like Movements members are cutting their own throat.
Just when they need people's support to strengthen themselves, they act like stupid asses and have their "good old fun". Murder is not fun, it is making people suffer.
Looks like Movement members don't even care about their image.
While Grant tries to do his best to pull the Movement out of the bad image, they go ahead and do dumbest things on earth.
It's stupid. Grant needs different staff.

Galim,
You're apologizing for saying you've never read more foolish words? That concept alone is contradicting and foolish in itself.

I never said that Greenbriar should declare war on anyone. I simply said that if they want peace then they should fight back to maintain it. How is this foolish? If they do not fight back, they will be taken advantage of by the people who do not give a damn about banishment laws of a town. What I want is not a relevant topic of discussion here.

You said,
It is their war and they should play their damn games in northerot or some else, but not at peacefull places where they are not wanted.
Their war? That is silly. By washing one's hands of the situation and leaving the Movement to fend for themselves is not only making a potential enemy, but losing a potential ally. What happened to getting rid of Darlok? Lyrenzia stopped trying this after Darlok made everyone suffer and after Darlok built his precious town. The Movement is one of the guilds that was originally inspired by Lyrenzia's plot to remove Darlok. Now Lyrenzia goes back on their word. This isn't a matter of actions, this is a matter of the cowardice of Lyrenzia. Call that criticism if you want. Call that whatever you please, for it is all the same; an observation of truth. Lyrenzia's constant lies and contradictions are what fuel the anger of the people who oppose it.

There is little difference between members of a race and members of a guild. Both are organized societies. It is the same thing when broken down into the concept of it all. Discriminating against a member of a guild is the same as discriminating against a member of a race. Passing judgment on an entire guild for the actions of one person in that guild is like persecuting a whole race for the actions of a few. The ratios are the only difference. Alone this shows that "ya are not able to use the brain the gods have given ya."

Who am I? Who I am is simply irrelevant in comparison to what I stand for. My name is simply what I answer to and acts a means of finding me. If you really wish to know my name, you may call me Alun Terod. I should be a citizen of Troll's Bane, as I have lived here for much longer than even some of these superficial officials of Lyrenzia, but the record-keepers are obviously very lax when it comes to their duty. I am an Archer of Illar. I am many things, but most importantly to this matter, I am observant of the truth. This is all you need to know of me.

Jonathan, you say "I like halflings, they are important for our trade". But think outside your own interest for a second, judge it objectively - are you important for halflings like they are for you? Do they have a reason to like you?
You guild fellow member, Fooser, is causing mishap, and he is ruining YOUR personal image. YOU are now a criminal too in people's eyes, because of him. Why? Because he stands under Movements Banner, like YOU do.
That is the whole point of the Guild. A brotherhood, a club, an organization of people with equal goals. It must be built on discipline. And if one member does something bad, he is putting dirt on the WHOLE guild, including the leader, most importantly.

Soultions:

Either deal with such members, or live with your dirty image of an outlaw.
You can still have your "good old fun days" of killing ladies and burning houses, but you will be spending them on the rocks and wasteland, because all cities will soon ban you off their streets.
Instead of being offended and arguing with me, think about my words.
For as much as I know, I don't care - I am a citizen of Northerot, I have my own law, but you - should think as well.

And I hope Fooser reads this too.

All of you those who are acting destructively - you are embarassing your GUILD. IN the end, it's not worth it. If you have nowhere to let you anger out - go into deep caves and find yourself a lonely demon, and try to beat HIM to death...

The Movement is one of the guilds that was originally inspired by Lyrenzia's plot to remove Darlok.
ya cannot be serious with that. comeon, not really. ya cannot be that missinformed. should i tell ya what the origin movement was? grant have build that movement to fight against lyrenzia. and later they were allys of darlok. iam sure ya heard of that, huh?

and because of that ya have the right to criticize the greenbriars desicions?

Galim, please, you are a master dwarf, come on, don't pay attention to Alun Terod. Don't waste your time and dignity trying to argue with him. He is clueless, and probably has no head.

Galim,
If you really believe my words are criticism, then that is how it is. I have only been pointing out my observations. Whether or not anyone takes offense to it is not of my concern. I have the right to speak what I see; to speak the truth. You and I are only repeating ourselves, as we feel adamantly about our ideas. My only question is, "how influenced are you by those whom you live with?" I live with few, so my views contain very little outside influence. Only what I see.

Anonymous writer,
Do not speak of things of which you have no knowledge. This is not your matter to discuss. I will not argue with multiple at a time. For like fighting with swords, it is dishonorable to join someone else's fight when they are focused on it themselves. And a master dwarf? I guess that makes me a master human. Fuh.

Alun:

1. Quoting yourself: "I have only been pointing out my observations. Whether or not anyone takes offense to it is not of my concern. I have the right to speak what I see; to speak the truth."

I speak of what I see. I see you have no brain. I speak the truth.

2. I am not arguing with you, and never did.

3. If you like, I would be happy to meet you sometime and arrange a learning session, and privately discuss everything in details: about dishonor, about knowledge, about guilds, social problems, and other political issues. A meeting you won't ever forget. You'll understand everything. Highly recommended.

If you do not wish to argue then why do you insult me now?

First, you have no proof that I have no brain. Clearly if I had no brain, I would not be able to write this. I would not be alive. I have been offering examples as proof of what I am saying. You are just blatantly throwing false facts into the open, hoping that they strike a nerve, it would seem. Rest assured, your mockery is not appreciated.

It is clear that you have little to teach of honor when you hide behind a mask of anonimity in order to deal out your insults. And yes, giving simply your initials is still anonymous.

-Alun-

P.S. Do not bother responding, I do not plan on discussing this further.

Why should we resort to the ways of the Movement by fighting for something which we rightfully earned? Other members have also transgressed against us. Kale Orton, once attacked Ezorock and caused him great injury. Rynt, in the recent past, has caused injury to my arm. Who can forget the countless incidents of near kidnap on the part of Fooser? The final nail in the coffin, is quite possibly, the curse that Grant Herion once cast upon poor Viola Thistle.

Hm, perhaps you need to learn about the Hobbit who attacked Zesh, who inspired Fooser to attack town? Perhaps there was a reason for Fooser to go to the village? But no, you don't want to see the whole of the truth, only the truth a higher up tells you and wants you to know.
And Brendan, you truely are a two faced hobbit aren't you? When I am near you try to make friends out of us. But when I am gone, you seem to speak of me behind my back, much like a coward would.

I see no reason why they should not ban the movement, after all, a member of the Movement entered their land with out permission, and started setting fire, even if it was just the bridge, and even after you asked the movement to reform and become good people, I saw Fooser and Nilo, casting flames inside the town gates even if they did just claim it was a 'game', Fooser has no right to enter Greenbriar, under any circumstances, if he had a problem, he could have contacted Crosis about it, but no, he had to go and start fires.

Alun Terod, these lies that you claim Lyrenzia promised about fighting Darlok, if you can simply find the papers to prove Lyrenzia declared this, then I will bow down on my knees and lick your boots and wipe them with my beard.

As I recalled, Lyrenzia left the choice to each citizen to decide what they wanted to do. It was Dyluck and other citizens who raised an army themselves and then later passed it to Crosis and some people. Then later nothing happened, for whatever reason I don't know, but the reasons would only relate to those people who were part of it, and not what guild or organization they come from. By your logic, I should say Humans are all stupid and misinformed just because I think you are.

Grant Herion, where did the incident of a hobbit attacking fooser take place? I'm pretty sure it did not take place in a territory owned by the movement with laws made by you, so battle must've been fair game, and yet because of that you think Fooser suddenly got the right to tresspass Greenbrair and attack town? What happened to respecting borders like you always claim people should automatically do? It seems your philosophy is always saying the other people is wrong for doing something but somehow you suddenly think you have the right to do the wrong thing back to them.

And what's wrong with what Brendan does? He only speaks the truth and FACTS about what you and your friends did, unlike your constant speculation of Lyrenzia's motives. Then when Bredan is nice to you so that there is peace, then you find fault in that too. Everyone else is always the bad guy no matter what they do. The rest of us are always at fault. Only you and your lawless buddies are the one true good, huh?
